Minus 30 here and shoveling needs to be done. Dove back under the covers for breakfast in bed so may be a bit before I venture out at last.

Truthfully, we've been very fortunate this year as it's been a mild winter overall...only a week or two of this bitter cold

Better here in SW Ontario. -11 headed for a high of -9. So cold but not as bad as out West. There is a breeze, though, so I imagine there's some wind chill on top of that.

Good thing paper deliveries aren't this coming week! Though, it's not supposed to warm up at all tomorrow and I have acupuncture

When it got up to -22F I went out and shovelled...it's now up to -15F so I took scraps out to the compost and walked the labyrinth...I finished making easy apple juice with the LAST of my apples...got roughly 3 cups

Hope you plug the car in tonight or you may not be able to get needled tomorrow. I tried to start my car today. It did start but with some grumbling so I did dig the extension cords out of the shed as I have to go into the office on Tuesday and it is forecast to be minus 31 overnight on Monday.

Hope you plug the car in tonight or you may not be able to get needled tomorrow. I tried to start my car today. It did start but with some grumbling so I did dig the extension cords out of the shed as I have to go into the office on Tuesday and it is forecast to be minus 31 overnight on Monday.

Vehicles have been plugged in most of the winter...that said, I was still surprised the truck started the other day as it had been over 2 weeks since I'd started it.

Lasting so far at the computer in the Living Room, but may dive under the covers with the laptop at any time. Have my feet on a heating pad turned to maximum and am still feeling chilled.

My toes went through the bottom of my moccasin slippers yesterday so had to pull out some knitted slippers - feet have been much warmer!

Slippers may be the next step if this cold lasts. I am more of a socks in the house guy, but you never know what may become necessary .

It has to be extremely cold before I pull out any socks (ie below 0F)...will have to put some on tomorrow when I head out
