It's very simple. Pr. jae IS talking in a code. He does it because you-know-who understands the code, and gets so over-excited with his posts that she, all atremble, can only write "last". That too, of course, is code. But we won't go there this evening. You-know-who needs her sleep.

I doubt that this will be LAST if Jae is pulling an all-nighter. OTOH, if he's doing so, hope he doesn't waste it on WC.

Not a strategy I've ever found helpful in life. I'd do poor work, end up falling asleep anyway, sleep little and badly, and feel like crap the next day. Hope Jae's experience is better. What's the very coolest thing to do is to spread a workload over a couple of weeks, do a tiny bit extra each day, and be ready a whole day early. It has happened to me very rarely in life, but it's an exceedingly nice feeling.

Unfortunately, school often doesn't allow you to spread workload over weeks.

Early is definitely better...sometimes it works with the paper, sometimes not. Never had to pull all-nighters in school, thankfully.

welL - thAt's it for me folkS. i'm off to bed. senT my essay to my prof at about 2:54 this morning. now to have three and a half hours of sleep.

I sure hope you proofread it carefully before you sent it off. I remember writing things at that time of night, only to discover at dawn that it made no sense, and contributed nothing to the ongoing dialogue.

all nighters were not the way I got through my 2 degrees-but I did have the occasional late night. In Jae's case I probably would have had my morning nap rather than sending paper to prof at 3 am. I would have re-read it after nap and had a moment to correct errors or just double check what I wrote-but to each their own.

I almost had an all-nighter last night...less than 3 hours sleep. Trains were very loud and active all night - when Mirror was created in 1912 it was the divisional point for the rainroad...then we lost that status and the bunkhouse in the 1980s...few years ago we became the divisional point again and EVERY CN train entering or leaving Alberta has to travel through Mirror - I think every train in the country went through LAST night. Off to Red Deer this morning for another appointment.

I don't go to bed at night. I think going to bed at night encourages evil and unChristian thoughts. So I find it best to work and read at night. In the morning, I then have a simple breakfast of cornflakes soaked in scotch, and then lie in a stupor for the rest of the day.

Well, it seems I am healthier than I feel...still some residual liver stress (much less than I've had), still some yeast in my blood (much less than I've ever had) and my thyroid is acting up but not seriously so nothing to really worry about. (y):)
