I would strongly advise against doing that. I find listening to the news a few times a day on CBC, in 5 minute maxes, is plenty.

I usually go all day without listening to any news - watch the evening...tonight was a doozy

I don't think I've heard the news all day today; what got you particularly riled? I'm not putting the radio on now; of all the shows in the week on Radio 2, George Strombolopolous has just not my taste in music. I've got a stream on right now.
