Hmmmm...my knitting speed (and stamina) has certainly increased since I started making this knit jacket...when I stopped in Mar/18 I was just over half done and figured it would take me at least another 2-3 months to complete...well, there is a chance, albeit slim, that I could have it finished by the end of this month!

Attempted to make cauliflower "wings" this morning (note to self: don't cook when you don't feel alert!) - they badly stuck to the pan (because I used whey instead of milk?) but they did taste good and are worth trying to make again.

Parchment paper is your friend. Nothing sticks to parchment paper.
and I did think about putting some down :) Though, that isn't entirely true - I made a no-knead loaf of bread once that glued itself to the parchment paper and I had to toss the whole thing.

Agreed re no-knead bread. It takes such a long time to rise, and the dough is so wet, that it softens/dissolves the parchment paper if you used it early in the process. What you do with those is put them, well floured, on the parchment paper at the last second, basically just using it to convey your dough quickly to a preheated clay baker.

Which is what I would have done if I hadn't been following the recipe I was given ;)

Warmed up to -10F (approx -24C) and the wind stopped blowing! After a friend boosted my car (2nd boost this week!), I headed out and delivered papers to the north half the route...just have the south half to do still.

Lots of snow here but not very cold. I actually got sweaty shovelling. LAST as I upgrade a crappy old laptop to Windows 10. My team at work think it might be faster than 7, which is what it has been running.

OY! Seems my car has been plugged in this week but there has been no electricity going to the block heater as the breaker had tripped and I didn't notice. :( No wonder I needed 2 boosts

Got that sorted now BethAnne?
Just came in from shovelling - the snow is very heavy & we are now getting some freezing rain. Hope that doesn't LAST too long!
While we were outside, a lot of police cars & 8 firetrucks went blasting along the Lakeshore - hope things okay.

Hopefully (fingers crossed) - I switched cords and what I had plugged in where.
Hopefully things are okay where you are.

Oh, yes, nothing to Newfoundland. It's clear and bright, if grey, this a.m. The end of the driveway's been done, the plows have been by, will have to dig out the porch later on today.
