Vibes and hope your plumber's competent and can put things back together in a way that will last as long as you're planning to stay in that house.
Looks like lots of rain coming this weekend .... hoping Bette that you will be okay!Gak. Pardon a mild pun, but it never rains but it pours.
HugsI'm sitting in Emerg with my sister right now. I'm not the patient. She was having irregular heart beats last week and went to Emerg then. Turns out she has thyroid issues, likely Graves. Stroke is a risk. Well, she had a stroke today. She's being admitted and will have physio etc. And here I thought we'd have less involvement with health care now.....
Yikes that was fast from discovering to complications. I hope it wasn't a bad stroke and her recovery is uncomplicated.I'm sitting in Emerg with my sister right now. I'm not the patient. I know some places will do sprays to prevent corrosion on vehicles, wonder if that would extend the lifetime of your scooter? The forecast calls for some snow, and freezing temperatures ahead. I am getting used to using my scooter everywhere (I love it) and will have to get around without it. I’m getting good at it...backwards too, and tight turns. It has an automatic slowing mechanism when I get going fast downhill. Sometimes, when the pavement is good and the path is clear all the way down, I want to let it rip!...but safety first..lol. I must be getting more comfortable with it. Mobility scooters are not built for speed for a reason. It has good tires (good treads) but I wouldn’t risk it, even for a few blocks outdoors on snow and ice. I have had out it in a couple of torrential downpours (which isn’t a good idea but I didn’t have a choice when it started dumping rain and I was already out and needed to get it home. I went through a deep puddle and was worried because it’s really not built for that and I don’t want it to corrode...so far it’s fine. I also got a flat tire in the front last week (one of two small tires close together). Must’ve gone over something sharp and not seen it. I could still drive it, but it felt like the steering was pulling to the right - like something was caught around a wheel. So, the next day - wasn’t sure if I could get it on the the bus - I drove it all the way to the scooter store to get it fixed, in the rain, clunk, clunk, clunk, all the way...not the best conditions...it took about an hour to get there ...but I felt really independent/ proud of myself, for managing that. Didn’t ask for help or have a meltdown. I just did it. Like my determined old self. It felt like a real accomplishment, as small as it might sound.
I think that the risk is more to get the electronics wet.I know some places will do sprays to prevent corrosion on vehicles, wonder if that would extend the lifetime of your scooter?
