I just opened the curtains. The sun is sleeping under a blanket of fog. Apparently it wants a bit of a sleep in today too.

My late friend Mike, back when we were in high school and university, used to greet everyone with a hearty "Good Morning", no matter what time of day it was. His explanation? It's morning somewhere. :cool:

And somewhere the sun is over the yardarm giving us high noon to drink to ... unless you are out in the street doing a shoot off ...

Doesn't that Drum Pall? Like a cabinet that is dry according to the lady in the shue ...

That's actually my justification for drinking coffee late in the day.... c[_]

Roads are not terrible this morning here, but sidewalks are. Just had a treacherous trip down the hill to work to retrieve my car, where I left it to grab a bus to my daughter's straight from work yesterday. We had a late Christmas dinner, but it was also a "Chronica" party, so definitely no driving, lol. My new cookie recipe (spiced molasses brown butter dark chocolate chunk) went over very well.

* drools *

Seriously, that sounds like a damn good cookie.

Actually, seriously, is. However, relied on an accident of infusion (an absence of water in an overnight 'low' slow cooker thing) that both concentrated and browned a butter to a sorta perfect point that may never be replicated.

LAST as I can't seem to go back to sleep

Up and at eM with some restricted vigor ... works for me since I have a foul heart ... and my doctor says there is no such thing as a person dying from a broken heart ...

Tell my late younger sister that medical authority overseen and mysted! They did not observe well as the felt BS about science and collecting the necessary data ... alien intelligence is not well absorbed by authoritarian power (perhaps better spelt as Eres rather than Arian) ... if you know your myths!

Especially about Philos and Sophy ....

I remember being glad we were no longer in Toronto this time 20 years ago. 20 years!!! Wow.

I am enjoying this last morning of 2019 and will have my second last radiation treatment today. I've been reading a book about cancer and wellbeing, and the section today spoke a lot about gratitude. I'm grateful for the excellent professionals I've met this year at the BC Cancer Agency and for those at the hospital. I'm also feeling very thankful for my circle of support. I know some pretty great people.

LAST afternoon of 2019. Still have to get Luce walked and critters fed (my Luce, not NDs, lol). At 3:30, a friend of mine is picking me up for dinner and the star wars movie. I'll have a quiet night by myself; I have a bottle of bubbly should I feel like a glass. Tomorrow, the Hippie is coming over for homemade lasasgna and wild blueberry pie.

My day did not go as expected...phone call at 7:50 AM to let me know that the delivery guy was outside my house with this week's papers (!)...as the day was gorgeous and I felt somewhat energetic, I decided to start delivering them (after I got dressed) and see how far I got...well, I did the whole route (300+ kms) myself so the first paper of 2020 was delivered on the LAST day of 2019! Home at 3:05 pm. Not sure what the rest of the day will bring - I do have a deep dish meat pie in the oven for supper and a hot bath will be part of the evening for sure.

Saw my dr today as my heart was making some extra bumps for a week that weren’t there before. Sent me to bloodwork and ECG. I had been skipping breakfast lately ( sleeping in, not being hungry)and taking my syntroid on an empty stomach instead of with food as I have done for the past 15 years, and apparently, that probably threw off my heart a bit. Will see what happens when I go back to my old routine. Back to work on Thursday and since I was already in the hospital, I checked my pay stubbs and spend 80 minutes deleting emails on my work account. 8 weeks of emails.
Back to watching Home Alone with my neighbours after we already watched Rick Mercers Talking to Americans, ate lots of chips and looked at baby pics from a 89 yr old.
