The neighbour who comes over 2x a day to help mom with meals has decided that we are not giving out any Halloween candy unless we "hire" someone (her?) to do it - first off, not her house or choice to make, second, we have a plan already and she won't even be over here on Tuesday.

We're not giving out any Halloween candy. We're choosing not to participate in Halloween due to religious reasons. Rather than having fun with ghosts, witches, and monsters, I'll be attending my church's annual Celebrate the Light party.

Yes, people across Canada are lined up every day at their local grocery stores eager to purchase canola.
Following WWI and into the 1920s wheat was the major cash crop and the gov't encouraged farmers to plant more - also when they stopped fallowing fields and crop rotation to replenish the soil - it destroyed the land which is why it started blowing and then no crops would grow...in our day, farmers are encouraged to plant canola as it is the latest cash crop and we are getting clubroot and other problems with the land and pretty soon the soil will be so depleted nothing will grow.

Some religious faiths don't believe in the dead talking to our sols ... and yet where are the dead after passing over but in thought and care ... an abstract Zoan ... Zoran? In some languages this is taken flight once they've seen enough of the sanity (or not) of this life as it is ...

Proper cultivation is lost intellect ... industrial farming knows only about extraction ... sort of like endless ingratiation without returning anything ... at least till we're gone and leave the fecund part behind ... sometimes referred to as fundus ... poorly understood as much is ... that's in word particularly ...

When you speak of unknowns authorities really get pistis Sophia and take off ... like that mother in: This Time You Gave Me a Mountain ... and Muse's went there ... possibly to hear Marty Robins as he's gone off somewhere too ...

No one buys canola, but canola products are widely used, often without people knowing there is canola in them. We cook with canola oil, one of the healthier cooking oils. Even some of the generic vegetable oils have some canola in them. It is widely used in making various packaged products as well.

Some diesels operate on it and thus deis elle do ...

Had a surprise visitor this morning. Sitting up in the office before taking Little M downtown to meet his bus to Ottawa and there was a loud "thud". I looked up and saw feathers floating around. Cursed and went down, expecting to find a dead bird on the deck. Instead there was a very alive, but rather stunned looking, bird on my deck table. Little dark grey one, a junco, I think. Just left it alone to see if would recover on its own. And it seemingly did. After dropping son off at the London bus depot, came home to find birdie had left.

I've been sitting around knitting a sock and surfing the web. We had a nice breakfast and sat some more. Now it's almost 3 pm. Time to go out for a walk with the dog. :)

Started back in January and worked on it for two weeks and then it was really hit and miss until the past two weeks when I've completed over half of it.

Managed a 31 km bike ride today. Was caught in an amazing wind storm, but did make it home just in time to miss the snow that blew through. Hopefully not my last bike ride this year. The sun is back out now so hopefully can ride into work tomorrow.

No snow here, no sun either...dark clouds and wind gusts all day.
