Yes, but your art is out in the world now!

LAST, as I contemplate how my dearly-beloved godfather could have aged so much more in the two months since I last saw him, BUT still has an unbridled joy about him that is awesome to observe. His face while being the lever operator on the log splitter, while savouring a piece of cheesecake and a cup of coffee by the fire pit, while observing the way the sunbeams illuminated the smoke through 'his' forest - was positive aglow with delight. He has always had a quality of "take joy where it is offered" that is really special and beautiful.

Didn't even make enough to buy a cup of coffee - if I drank coffee.

I feel you're not doing enough advertising. It's the only explanation I can think of. People just don't know that you have your stuff for sale. Can you afford to do more advertising? How about appearing on a local morning television program.

No local TV station - only Edmonton or Calgary
People are driving by and see the sign but not stopping.

You need a word for the style, something that connects it with the province or the community - something like that.
What you're selling needs is an identity.

Careful. Bribery can be expensive. You'll end up not being able to buy more coffee that you don't drink.
(The rumbling sound you just heard is my high school English teacher turning over in her grave)

Maud Lewis used left over house paints and painted pictures on cards or pieces of wood. She put up a sign "Paintings for Sale" by the road in front of her house. Eventually tourists started stopping by - she sold some - enough to buy some real paints and brushes. She became famous. A movie was recently made about her life. She lived all her life until her LAST days in a tiny house by the side of the road with brightly coloured flowers on the door and windows, wheelbarrow, and whereever she could find a spot to cheer up with brightly coloured paint.

She isn't selling anything now. She'll do better if she ups the prices of the paintings but then throws in a free slice of pie.

I've never had to use bribery before...usually I can sell anything without effort.

If (when) I do this again, I think I'll just open in the afternoon as that seems to be a better time for most folks.
