Heads up that you may want to top up your gas tank.

Already did since we have a long drive tomorrow. London is in a bit of perpetual gas war right now due to the introduction of Costco gas a couple years ago. They regularly undercut the street price, sometimes by 5 cents or more, which then forces down the prices at nearby stations.

Graeme - of course you're nervous - I was too. But cataracts are easy. And the results are wonderful. But you usually have to get both eyes done and they usually schedule them for a month or so apart. If there is a big difference in your vision after getting that first one done, it will almost drive you crazy. I walked around for a month with 20/20 in the eye that was done, and less than 20/200 in the other eye. Not good.
An exception to needing both eyes done would be if the cataract was due to an injury rather than age. Seelerman had an eye injury as a teenager - retina shattered - and a big white cataract grew over that eye. He had it removed. Now, 60 years later his eye doctor says that she detects the beginning of a cataract on his good eye.

A white cataract? That's interesting. When I was a kid,, There were a few children in the neighbourhood who had a white film over their eyes. But there was no medicare then, and it was a very poor neighbourhood.

Slept in...papers an hour late so didn't leave till 8:30...shorted 300 papers (still waiting to hear back as to why/what happened)...driver missed a turn and we did extra driving to get back on track - managed to pick up a rock in the tire that took forever to dislodge...car wouldn't start at the library - turned out driver was using his keys not mine...challenging to make sure all stops got papers but really shorting some due to having less...bought paint brushes...home at 3:30.

Hope all goes well for you @Graeme Decarie

It was! Papers have been found - in plain sight just weren't picked up for some reason...I am now waiting to hear if they will be dropped off tomorrow.

Main press guy drove out himself to bring the papers to me - 2 hr drive round trip - I gave him a big hug of thanks.

This is probably why Seelerman waited from his teens until his thirties to get the operation. It was very disfiguring.

And I found out LAST night that the neighbour who drives mom to her appointments refuses to drive any more or do any more favours for us (ie get my groceries) as they feel I'm supposed to being doing everything...how am I supposed to do that????

Forgive me if my memory is in error. However, isn't this the second or third neighbor who has now said that they won't do anything for you anymore?
