Monday, yay! Beginning of another week of making priorities for my week and not worrying at all what I might or might not achieve. Thus far, critters are all fed and watered (Luce & I were down at the lake at 6 a.m. for stick throwing then a long walk), I'm finishing up last night's dishes, and I don't know what my plans are for the day, although walks and gardening will probably feature; the hay field out back needs cutting down and the mower is charged...

Hope you're feeling better, BA. LAST.

I've decided to become a gymnast and try to make the 2020 Tokyo Olympics unless God gives me a sign by blotting out the sun over the skies of Missouri later today. If that happens, I'll stay in the ministry. But seriously - what are the odds of the sun being blotted out in that particular place on this particular day? Tokyo, here I come! An Olympian AT LAST!

I've got my telescope on it. There's a row of sunspots across the middle. I think the moon starts crossing in 30-40 minutes here. My son is in Casper for the total eclipse. With the obamas he says.

Don't point a telescope or binoculars at the sun. I have a filter made for this.

If one focusses their bin oculars on the back of the brain through the eye ... could burn a hole there and allow thoughts to escape ... some gods say those thoughts and wisdom shouldn't be there ... thus the great one goes't ... vaporized neural't issue ...

Watched it get dark for a while, then get light again, from inside. Had much better (and safer) views on the tube.

Was intermittently cloudy here. Got a couple glimpses of it through eclipse glasses. Not in the zone of totality though. About 80% here (Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah).

Good morning! The sun is still hidden, behind overcast skies. Not nearly as rare or sight-worthy as what happened yesterday.

Sun is bright this morning...laundry in machine...working on painting projects...so far (fingers crossed) i think I'll survive the day.
