I don't have a huge problem with Wynne. Neither the conservatives nor the NDP in Ontario seem to be able to mount any sort of credible challenge.

You know what my number 1 problem is with Wynne. I do not want to discuss it again at this time.

Seems to me people react to the letters "NDP", especially in Alberta. Alberta definitely needed a change after 40 years of one party rule. Of course there were different incarnations of that party over the years. Nevertheless, a change was needed. Frankly too, it seems to me that being a female politician in Alberta is particularly tough. Alison Redford was no saint. Would she have been treated as she was if she'd been male?

In other news, the air seems to be clearing here. Cough. Cough.

And who the fukc are you to decide what gets discussed in the Last Post thread? LAST while Jae gets his s**t together.

Doubtful but we'll never know. And, AB is unique in that all our parties are just different versions of conservatism - even the NDP...they aren't one of the better versions.

That's true. People accuse the Alberta NDP of being socialist and leftist. They are quite right leaning. I actually haven't done a lot of research on AB politics yet. I think I need to recover from BC. :barefoot:

And we may have had the Conservative Party for 40 years but it wasn't the same party by any stretch for that time as each Premier took us in a different direction;.

LAST as I stop watching the video about reiki - it was recommended to me and I'm not sure why as it is basically just a sales pitch for an author's book and there is no info about reiki on it.

I will say, I have noticed some good changes within the healthcare system. I'm not sure how much of that is because of the NDP, but either way, it's good to see.

I agree @ChemGal. Jim Prentice was going to make some big cuts that would have strained the system. The cuts would likely have meant breaking contracts. Not cool. The NDP in BC has already put mental health and addictions treatment back as an important part of health care by creating a ministry specifically for mental health and addictions. BC has been cutting those services at least since Clarke was premiere.
