I'm sure the fireworks down there will be spectacular. Those Texans do not believe in half-measures for anything. I mean, where else is the attitude "why barbeque steak when you can throw whole dang cow on the fire"?

We are on the road at LAST this morning. It was wonderful to be so lazy. I only said at LAST so I could use the word LAST. It looks like another good day for a drive.

Cars are a pain in the ass. If I could live without one, I would, but life hasn't worked out that way so far. Maybe once we are both retired and Little M is gone for good, we can cut down to just one at least.

I like no alarm days. I always set an alarm if I have to be somewhere before the afternoon. I'm probably often one of the LAST ones up.

Ok...appointment to get car fixed is Thurs...delivering papers Thurs so not home to deal with car, and mom is off to Red Deer to an appointment so can't use her vehicle...couldn't get through to AMA - good thing this isn't an emergency!...Stettler Ford will come get my car on Wed...still need to get someone to boost the truck so we can use it for deliveries Thurs.

We are near Wawa, Ontario. Holy cow re blackflies!!!! Isn't this late in the season for those guys? We'll stay inside so we can last.
