LAST, as I consider my poor nails, cut down to the quick so as to avoid excessive dirt accumulation during extreme gardening season. This extended dampness has made weeds both a) grow and b) exceeeding easy to pull.

Any time a weed is easy to pull it's a good thing

And it's a good thing I took a picture when I did as I ended up walking through the garden - very sandy and dry - in my bare feet and ended up rather dirty!

The burdock roots still aim for China; however, the opium lettuce, milk thistle and garlic mustard are much easier than usual to uproot.

I try and keep little bits of some stuff I use in teas, salves, etc., in the back, but much of it is prone to taking over (hello, motherwort and lemon balm!), so it's a constant struggle. LAST.
