I didn't win the lottery last night so instead of reading the 20,000 posts I'll settle for reading some Richard Rohr. And unlike Tabitha I recommend you never do stretches. I am forced to do group stretches at work. I come into work feeling fine and after the stretches I have aches and pains some days. Before they started making us do these group stretches I was fine and now I have to keep a jar of Advil in my desk drawer for the days I feel yucky after doing the stretches.
 
If I can venture a guess, it might be a Japanese-owned firm. They're very fond of these things. I had a brief, unmemorable career at Honda...I can still hear those frickin' bells.

One of my employers advertised upcoming fitness classes as "getting ready for bikini season". This was challenged by one of my colleagues (male) as sexist and those posters came down pretty quickly!

Mine is also connected to the food reactions so stretching doesn't have as much impact as it should.
 
I work at an oil company and the guy who came up with the stretching idea is one of the big bosses down in Houston. And I agree Bette's Honda experience does indeed sound as ghastly as what I have to deal with.
 
"Huddles" were becoming the thing just before I retired. Basically a brief meeting where no one could sit down.

I detest sports analogies in the workplace.

Don't get me started.
 
Other buzzwords (sports and otherwise):

Being a team player.

Giving the job 110%.

Exceeding expectations.

Knowledge transfer.

Consulting with stakeholders.
 
Mfg plants in the US owned by US comapny does stretches.
Our ergonomic advisor always advised us to do stretches.
