It's just a warning sign telling me not to climb over the fence that I had no intention of climbing over until I saw the sign...;)

ah yes, thanks i see that now. i was previousLy seeing A perSon siTting on a bench holding a cane. what I thought was a cane is actually a stake holding the fence up.
 
The LAST batch of bread I made used spelt flour (a gift at Christmas). My sons loved it, Mr Curler and I found it OK - but not likely to be a variety I make often. Today was whole wheat flour plus some other stuff - rolled oats, leftover potatoes, caraway seeds and dried cranberries. Three loaves should last us awhile.
