For Bette the Red, women can, of course, be controlled. It just takes an occasional pat on the head and, rarely, a bit a sharp speaking.

A lot of folks refuse to slow down for bad road conditions and the sad fatalities occur as a result. Speeding is for type A twits who then endanger the rest of us. Better we should all be relaxed type B people who do our own laundry and vacuum our own floors and pat our own heads and get there when we get there.

Here, the biggest problem is deer and moose on the road. There's a stretch of road beginning a fifteen minute drive from my place that is very prone to such collisions. in fact, there's a stretch beginning within sight of my place. It runs through the city. But it's heavily forested on both sides. And deer have been seen on it.
