Today I start attending a new church. The Senior Pastor of that church asked me if I could come over and help them in their replanting efforts. After giving the move prayerful consideration, and receiving my Senior Pastor's blessing and Yobo's support, I decided to make the switch.

Meanwhile here at Wondercafe2, I'm last.

Good luck on the move and the replanting, Jae. Hope it goes well for you.(y)

Best wishes in your new church Jae.

Thanks @Mendalla, @You just never know, @Redbaron and @BethAnne.

It went really well today. There were 12 people at the worship service this morning, three of whom were the Pastor, his wife and his daughter.

The music was great. It was led by the Pastor on guitar. The service also included Scripture reading and prayer (including special times for each of confession and praise which were wonderful and not something we did at my other church). After the service we gathered in the lounge and, over delicious coffee, fresh fruit and yummy snack cakes, we discussed some of our exciting plans for the future.

All in all a really good first Sunday there. :)

Lasted through thunderstorm number 21 for July. According to Environment Canada that is more thunderstorms than we usually get in Calgary in a year. Hope August dries out so I can get in some bike rides before the snow flies!

Around 18 or 19 Thunderstorms the whole year. We had 200mm of rain in July including rain all 10 days of this years Stampede. Meanwhile places like Central Ontario are in a serious drought with the farmers having a real tough go of it. Supposed to be sunny tomorrow so hopefully I can ride my bike to take in the Tour de Bowness bike races.

Happy Civic Holiday! Let the bells ring out, the banners fly, and the bands play!!
Heck, who are we kidding? There's not even a Hallmark card for this holiday.

Visit your local flower store today and send someone the gift of flowers.

It cycles...Calgary has had its share of droughts too through the years.

Of course it's a holiday. It's my birthday. Drought here. I have a lot of tomato plants, which I have to deep water every other day; water bill this month was HIDEOUS... Also, LAST before I head downtown to our local big arts & crafts festival, where I will find birthday gifts for both of my siblings, I hope.

Happy Birthday Bette!

2nd night in a row that the tarp blew off and 2nd night in a row we got rain so I was drying things off...set the sale up but had to pack quickly as it started spitting and things were blowing all over...will see what it is like after lunch - may set it up again.

Happy Birthday, @BetteTheRed!

Had a good rainfall in London yesterday. My household meteorologist (aka Little M) says we got about 3-4 inches. Add in some other showers earlier in the weekend and a chance of showers later today and we seem to be in a bit of a respite from the drought here in the southwest. I have only been watering critical stuff (new bushes and annuals). Our established trees and perennials have survived enough dry summers now that I don't fret too much about them.
