Based on today's sermon if I had been given the Marshmallow Test as a kid I would have eaten it the second the adult closed the door and left the room. As Pam Rocker pointed out in her sermon that says a lot about the sort of adult the kid turns into. Last as I contemplate the dye being cast many years ago. (n)

*scurries off to confirm what the Marshmallow Test is*

(I've heard of it but forget the details)

I would have waited in the Marshmallow test.

Watched the LAST Stampede event...it's over for another year...good Stampede and I got to watch all but 4 days of rodeo events and I saw all the chuckwagon races...usually only get to see the final day.

Thus the term trans par antes ... if you can see through the dark fog of emotional ankh! The parents go first and we follow blindly, without thought as guided by our earthy representative of the god-hero's ... King James ... who was ap*parant*ly ... not what he appeared (incarnate?) to be as he wished all his people to remain as naïve as he ... a creeping sense to say least!

And as a result many common folk are frightened to death of a pile of words ... thus the tome is closed and avoided! How many people do you know that ... if they read ... they read superficially ... without knowledge of where the words originated or derived ... thus words fail due to a nihilism of such dark things!

When word dies ... where do they recess to ... a dark abstract domain that the Nordic tribes knew as oh-din ... alternate chaos?

It is a choqan experience to see how some old words are used today ... like knowledge is kohl? If you knew what autocrats do to common folks you'd be subtly enraged ... so as to kick the kahn ... why leaders and monarchist have hard core soles ... hob 'd to say least ... in the absence of utilitarian science ... social science fails ... and what we see generally isn't good ... for who's reason?

Thus the sense of lost logos ... the power of the journal or log that has to be writ in great code due to rules about altering history as writ by winners ... and the dualistic race is on ... demur*gante instead of demiurge? Thus you feel the hollow gante ... a mere M'N's glove ... or the gante let in old Gae-l myths ... edge dwellers?

Good morning, world. Ready or not, VBS starts here today. Here's hoping that fun and learning may abound, and the soap opera sub-plots' drama may be kept to a minimum.

We're starting VBS today too. Ours is called Sonrise. Our Youth Group, Assistant Pastor, and the other Intern Pastor did a great job decorating the inside of our church building to look like a summer camp. Complete with waterfall.

Define "son" as the question arises here and now ... leading to son'ETs of subversive poetics ... to avoid authoritarian laws/loss ... regarding dissociated words ... some words being felt to be social in only isolated socializations ... like cunning?

Is there a difference in weasel and Ermine ... or only due to the wearer thereof?

This might collar a comprehension ... of how seasons can change things ... Ecclesia?

I've always thought a soap opera focussed around a church could be great fun. We've had hospitals and law firms as the subjects of soaps, or at least soap opera-ish series, why not a church? Just what is going on in all those private meetings between Pastor Bill and Board chair Wanda? Who is the mysterious woman who keeps popping at church events? Why does the new member keep giving strange looks at the Sunday School superintendant? And why does she return them with a sly smile? All to be answered next season on ... All God's Children. *queue lush string music*

Is lush something out of Charles Baudelaire's poetics?
