I have an LG-C440...it has a calendar and notes function - I don't use them so can't tell you how good they are.

Someone offered to sell me an aluminum Macbook for $150 - with back lit keyboard, and said was a better model 2 core 250 gb hd. They think it is from 08 but not sure. Is this a good deal...I don't use Macs so don't know.

It was a Samsung, I don't recall the model name though. I think most of the flip phones had those features when I got it in 2007. I think the thing still works, but switched to a smartphone last year.

My wife has, somewhat tentatively, moved into the smartphone era. She picked up a Xiaomi Redmi 3 while in China. Good phone with a customized Android system with specs only a little below my Galaxy for a fraction of what you'd pay for a Samsung or similar "name brand". Not readily available here, alas, but Xiaomi is huge in China and some developing countries.

Personally I find it a useful model of the divine but I can't say I believe it in any literal sense. Will see what is made of it at the self-proclaiming "progressive/ inclusive/ life-affirming" church I have been attending this year.
