When I think of your diet, Jae, as you describe it, the words "chemical s**t storm" come to mind.

BA, Bassett's Licorice Allsorts are the first, the best. My mother used to buy me a large tube of them for Christmas every year. These days, I cheat and buy the little bag of Buck Store Brand Allsorts when I can't resist.

Dad loved, loved, loved black licorice and while he always claimed not to be a candy eater (compared to mom, he wasn't) we always had licorice allsorts and/or the black licorice pipes in the house

Licorice Allsorts were a Christmas thing in my house when I was growing up. Ditto for bottles of coke and salted mixed nuts.

There's a Dutch store not far from here. I got some salt liquorice there last time we were there. It was wonderful. Chewy and soft and strong flavour. Yum.
