thankfully it wasn't a pre-paid one - though, had they prepaid I might not have missed them as I quadruple checked the prepaid ones to make sure they were all in

OK...this is just not my day! Discovered that the Dec. 6 paper got stuck in my drafts folder and didn't get emailed to the advertisers it was to go to :( Just sent it off.

They say there is a first time for everything. This year will be my first time EVER to spend the 25th at home, with just my partner for company. When in England the family gathered for food and fun. First my parents, Nana and us kids, later when my older siblings had kids they swelled the numbers. By the time my sister had three young ones we went to their house to celebrate and enjoy.

My first Christmas in Canada was spent with friends at a farm - that was quite a culture shock. Hot gravy and jelly with fruit in it??? An aged Grandmother held out a box of chocolates and said "Want a Nigger Toe"? I was married by the time the next Christmas rolled around and we shared the day with another young couple. Once we had kids my MIL joined us every year until her death.

This year? One kid is spending the 24th with the spouse's family, and the 25th with their kids and we aren't invited. Another kid is spending the 25th with the spouse's family. One kid has just got home from Singapore and can't get here - the drive is too long, especially after a couple of days in planes. One kid needs things to be fairly quiet or his brain shuts down. We have invited him to join us for a special meal on but he said "Maybe. but I might be too tired"

On the 26th one kid has invited us to eat leftovers and do the Chinese Gift Exchange thing - 2pm till 6pm. Sounds like a short but sweet celebration! I expect everyone will be there except for our son with the brain injury.

Oh well - suchis life. A first time for everything. We have the usual treats - mince pies, sausage rolls, homemade fudge, leffse etc. It'll be fine - just different.

Will there be apples involved, by any chance?

Seeded jelly land ... like Santaes Leadbelly? Here in Fredericton we have an icon of that in Santiago El Grande ... a wild Marah!

There are people that state a nutcase painted it because they don't understand vast symbolism. It is a big canvas ... what you do with information a vast populace doesn't wish to know because of associated payne out there ... then it happens!

One more sleep!!!!

Some won't let the device rest ... illiterate or all-ite ration ... like a sector of Pie radiating from a point? Then there's the piper ... and Pie was piped into the thousand thieves of the knight ... squeaky? Diamonds and rust'll do it ...

Polishing off a hard composition ... well buried in the myth ... Master's olie?

Is a rude deer aura An Dies? I hope it shapes up from there on ... imagine a knows in Skye ... deep red as Ir'd! Ire ne good night ...

Sire you're about to be seared ... where ... into mind of coursers ... hoerst of another shade ...

A choir mate noted her 2 year old granddaughter called from Scotland and inquired: "Nan have you Pied in your nap Pei?"
