Nice day up in Goderich doing some hiking and sightseeing. Oddly, have never been there before. Nice town, even if its "Canada's prettiest town" slogan seems to be a bit of an overstatement.
 
Returning now to Toronto after a busy day working at Yobo's flower store. Tomorrow it's my middle son's turn. Then I'm back Monday and Tuesday. Drop by either of the latter days for a free daisy while supplies last.

It used to have a beautiful circle in its downtown centre, which was all destroyed by fire some years ago. Used to go there all the time when I went to the cabin; these days, I tend to head for Kincardine if I need more supplies than little Lucknow can provide (usually so I can double the trip as a visit to the Peace Labyrinth there). I'll have to look next time I'm up; they probably replaced the old buildings with more modern ones; hence, the certain lack of obvious charm.
 
Well we all knew it couldn't LAST forever. Heading home today. We are heading out early so we can be home shortly after noon. Back to the grind and "normal" tomorrow. Alas.

It wasn't a fire. It was an F3 tornado in 2011. Actually, a lot of the buildings were restored in the appropriate styles, or at least something approximating it, per the walking tour I perused. There are some nice buildings to be sure, and the octagonal town square is quite unique.
 
Hmmmmm...I've done enough in the past half hour I could probably take the rest of the day off and stay in LAST ;)
