The trailer was hot and stuffy earlier. The rain started and it has cooled down. Now we are listening to rain on the roof. It's a nice peaceful sound to fall asleep to. Lovely

Hmmm...it seems that one reason I am having so much trouble getting help is because people think I'm not home as my car isn't home...neighbour brought groceries!...I'm off to eat supper at LAST

Sometimes I read BethAnne using the word "oy". That's yiddish. Is it common in the west? If so, the more forceful term is "Oy vay schmeer"

And if you go to China, you'll need some Chinese to socialize. I find a great conversation opener is the Cantonese "mgoy gwaeelo".
"Excuse me, foreign devil"

I've heard that as the east rejects occidental domains with bite ... I'm not allowed to use to alternate word for that pole here ...

Thus golems ... or the wandering heart ... as a Lem ... core device?

It is a rainy morning here in this part of the country. I kind of wish I could just sit in this chair and listen to the gentle rain falling on the trailer roof. We are moving to a new spot today so will have to pack up in a couple of hours. In the meantime I am starting a second sock. At LAST. I knit the first one of this pair last year.

Just back from a walk. It is one of those funny days that has a cool breeze but is still very humid.

LAST

Rainy here so no walks. Went for one last evening though. Breaking in new hiking shoes before our family vacation.

Eventually the police were called. Not sure if any arrests were made or not. Can't believe the people who were picking up a chair. Good thing others stopped them. If they had fought with a chair, while others were fighting without weapons, that'd be like bringing a gun to a knife fight. Not smart.

Pizza anybody?

Ever tried the magic loop method of knitting two socks at a time?

I've tried the magic loop and it frustrates the hell out of me. I may try the two at a time version in the future. I usually finish socks right away. I ran out of yarn for this one so lost my momentum.

This is the sock. Ravelry: KathrynFSJ's Wild Socks
I use the magic loop for other projects and like it better than double-pointed needles...haven't tried socks yet...have a pattern for a cute pair of lacy ankle socks I do want to try at some point.

A fight in a restaurant with chairs as weapons? Sounds like a scene from some B-movie Western.

Started when one customer didn't get her pizza on time and stomped into the restaurant in a rage. She started screaming and throwing potato chips all over the floor. Chaos swiftly ensued.

I was successful using magic loop for a bulky toque. I'm really competent with dpns so learning something new like that is crazy making.
