I once read that Nada in Yiddish (Semitic) means nothing ... and else where I learned that Ca, or Ka was something of spirit and thus it could mean spirit emptying process where emotions depart and some common logic takes root in the space as if epistemological complexity!
Could spirit emptying be opposed to soul emptying whereas the soul is the part related to logo(s) and logic of the lighter end of shadows on the wall?
Anything appearing as relief on the wall would certainly raise fear in the authoritative rule where no relief is allowed for the slaves ... and no education as they are to remain beasts of labor ... but without recompense.
