I am happy to remain home, primarily to assist in keeping nature out of my small enclosed garden ... where the nature insists on invading as a wee ID ... the primal urge to taste what I've cultivated and nurtured ... sort of like how some extremists like to eliminate thoughts, knowledge ... and wisdom beyond our mortal reality! Alternate virtue as allowed bottom line for flighty critters to look down on ...

Sort of like my spouses attitude towards my pelletizing rodents for ruminating over my garden ... until they chew over her flowers ... can you imagine sweet little vermin ... like squirrels running amuck on a strict, stoic mature woman's thighs in GEO Gaia ...?

Ares goes on in the real world ... peace is only a virtue thing ... something in yer mind if you believe in existence of soul! Many deny it and thus it was saved ... out there ...

Well - I am building great family memories right now. I am camping with three grandudes at an isolated lake for 10 days. They are 13, 15 and 16 and have camped with us each summer since they were four. We have reminded each other of previous trips too.

One of them noticed the OP and said his happiest memories are of our camping trips!!!

Well, I have an odd family memory to add, related to my Dad's admittance to hospital with delusions.
Finding a way to laugh through the craziness with siblings, having sibling and I try to sleep at the hospital.
Lots of happy memories in the midst of an unhappy event.

My sister took my son, her son, and his girlfriend to Niagara Falls on Monday, and Toronto on Tuesday. (I stayed back for transition day for Dad to a residence)
Tomorrow, we are all going to the beach. Looking forward to it. Oldest Son will also go if not working.

My family memory this summer was revitalizing my relationship with my extended family in England. Spent a whole day sharing photo memories with a very elderly aunt, watched some football and had a ceremonial whiskey with my favourite old uncle, had a proper evening tea in the parlour with another very proper old aunt and her daughter, my cousin. More merrily, spent 10 days on his canal boat with my absolutely favourite cuz, almost exactly my age, with whom I have shared a number of adventures over the years, both over here and over there.

Are all fathers delusional given enough time?

Happens when then don't get none --- Rodney Danger Field ... on the application of lack of respect!

Memories this summer are around our children, grandchildren and my sister. They

have helped me through a very lonely time. CrazyDad 's health continues to deteriorate.

Hugs to those dealing with emotional challenges at this time.

I was reminded that good memories don't have to be about the big things in life. As the days sent by on our camping trip one grandudes looked anxious every time another meal was devoured. Turned out he was getting worried because he hadn't yet had his most absolutely favourite camping sandwich. What joy lies in an annual sardine sandwich!

Is there anything with out emotional angst considering the gravid points and de centers therof?

I was at a wedding last month. The bride and groom are my kids age. The best man remember a whole group of families going camping and me taking the kids down to a pond with nets and buckets. (I remember-we stayed until one fell in-I had about 15 kids with me) It was one of his happy memories.
