TRUE Religion ... requires knowledge (which is discoverable) and leads towards understanding of universal natural (spiritual/moral/consequential) law and then unites or BINDS TO TRUTH ... which exists whether believed or not.

Didn't Jesus want to speak that which his Father wanted him to speak? Or was he akin to Lou Zealand?

Truth is objective ... not dependent on the perception of human beings (too capable of wavering). Truth is simply that which does not waver ... Truth is that which has occurred in the past and the past cannot be altered .... truth does not exist in the future ... truth does exist in the present. So I am talking about that truth ... not the mind of god ... not the mind of the universe ... and not perception. Perception is not reality ... perceptions of reality are compulsively filtered by people through a screen of what they want and do not want to be true ... the higher our level (or frequency) of consciousness/experience the better chance we have of aligning our perception with reality ... universal truth.

How do you know that the universe is true?

What I think is not necessarily true. Whatever I think about reality is just my conceptual creation. I don't know anything for absolutely sure. All I do is speculate.

However, pure being--reality as it really is--is obviously true. And the pure isness of reality can be experienced, and is being experienced, in the pure, unconceptualized experience of reality. But whatever we think about this experience is our arbitrary creation. That's why, in Zen Buddhism, one acts spontaneously and dynamically, directly from the depth of the pure experience, without resorting to teachings, doctrines or dogmas.

That's why, to me, Zen Buddhism, or any other experiential or mystical religion, is the purest form of religion, and the rigidly dogmatic and absolutist religions are the most impure forms. Mainstream religion is somewhere in between those two extremes.

It is difficult if not impossible to be entirely without teachings. But, to me personally, the pure experience speaks louder than words. I also think that the impulses for our moral teachings have always come from the pure experience, wherein we experience God--or so I feel and speculate.

Yes. Pure "isness," pure being, is obviously true. Being is. Being is Truth. And I think and feel that the pure, unconceptualized experience of being comes as close to universal Truth as we can get.

Those who immerse themselves in the pure experience of being report feelings of oneness, inseparability, eternity, limitlessness, unity, synthesis, unitive awareness, unitive consciousness and unitive love.

When we act directly from the depth of that experience, then we can't go too wrong. With or without teachings, doctrines or dogmas. With or without God.
