Interesting that they were known sometimes as 'prayer bars'. Wondering now how that connection came about.

Yesterday, it was raining when we got to Montreal. We went into Notre Dame Basilica (lovely church) and, lo and behold, the rain had stopped when we came out and never started again. A miracle?

I'm in a funky Cafe, alone, listening to 70s rock tunes on a jukebox, eating a huge piece of deep dish homemade Mac n' cheese for $6, drinking iced tea (no alcohol) - went on a 1/2 price shopping spree at VV Boutique (open until 10 pm tonight) and feeling like I'm in Vancouver a little bit - getting some much needed urban vibe - I'm homesick for Vancouver. I think this is one of the few cafes open late (and the only used/ vintage clothing store - only store of any kind besides 7-11) on a Sunday here. And I managed to find it.

I don't feel lonely out like this. Self medicating with comfort food I suppose...but I went vegetarian about 3 weeks ago...they have decent choices and good prices at this place. I enjoy it here. I get lonely while at home.

I'm at Starbucks. I could've sworn the guy who ordered after I did, said, "I'll have a venti iced tea with no water and no ice." I looked back to see if the barista handed him a tea bag. It didn't appear so.

He sat down at a table across from me. Clearly, nothing had come from his transaction with the barista. Really, nothing.

Then, a few moments later, he got up and walked over to the counter to pick up what appeared to be a big cup full of iced tea.

Okay...so it wasn't that. He must've said something else.

(My thoughts this evening.)

Tis the nature of the life we live believing it is ruled yet no lines do I see ... entanglement proceeds! Sort of resembles Starry, Starry Night ... mystical life in which we know little and are told we don;t wish to know ... quite often really if you follow political NU's ...

"They shouldn't be looking there" ... illegal investigations of the power of canon ... so much bull that it has an odour ... when you face the bore ... something may go ... there I lost it again in a fit of wrinkles ... :ROFLMAO: ... life is really peculiar and a rare thing in the vast extension ... of thin works and doings according to the Golden Thingy! The secular world that doesn't like sects and thus don't gather much any more ... at least on individuation collapsing ...

Maybe they don't understand the word ...

The Stanley Cup Finals are about to start. Remember the good old days when hockey was considered a winter sport?

And there were Canadian teams in contention? And basketball finals were something Americans got pumped about?
