It is challenging to see the sacred in the person before you. Often we cling to our hurt feelings, our judgements on past actions, our worship of cleanliness or our beliefs about body size.

Jesus didn't seem to have problems with acceptance and acting from love.
 
Look deep and see portions of thy self ... then who really understands "ᶘ-elf" as germane ithchii ... that fishy thing called soul?

It is said to be all encompassing even if we can't see it and allows for unq one science ... the blind observation of abstraction ... buried mostly in the dark of nitee? A' vail yourself only if you are aware of what you're getting into ... thus a good man is hard to find due to the listing towards heartland only ... Bruce Springsteen!

He didn't, and at the same time he continued to invite people into the Kingdom of God. So, that's my place as well when it comes to seeing my brother again and meeting his girlfriend.

Thanks RitaTG. I believe I am one of those who has been called to present Christ to them. That means being loving, gentle, and kind. At this point, as you suggest, I have not earned the right to speak into their lives in any other way. I haven't really spoken with my brother in any meaningful way in years, and I haven't even met his girlfriend yet. I will definitely be doing some praying that the Spirit will guide me and bless the whole event.

I suggest 1Corinthians 13 as your guide.......
If you are rejecting the one he loves then he will not be inclined to hear about the one you love.
 
Is genteel love ... moderation?

Not well observed by those of polity ... extremists? Tis a hard position to say least ...

What do you mean, "If you are rejecting the one..." RitaTG? In no way do I approve of their relationship. That doesn't change that the way I should act is in love, but I am not accepting her place in his life.
 
Thus parts of everything are denied, rejected ... and real people are like gods ... making decisions about things little known about!

Thus well rounded abstraction... or etudes into what we don't know ... by outside forces like distant intelligence ... foreign data's?

So much to reach for to understand god as everything ... unless you accept God as nothing to your concerns ... anis a'nin ... and thus the nin neigh ... some say nah-neigh ... and thus the horse-power blows ... and snorts derisively !

I'll go fore the lesser power .. subtle understanding that few powers can see as dark delight ... the hidden treasures of diversity when people vary from lawful connections ... disassociation constants? Allows for ion I'z'd salts ... wee things ... in polarized solutions and resolutions ... thus the separation may (or may not) be resolved! Tis due to isolated choices for those not wishing to get it all together preparing for the final implosion ... when the wits come to that unseen point ... philosophically a hard place ... that ultimate edge ...

Really. How so. Jesus befriended sinners, spent time with sinners, and ate with sinners. At no time did he approve of their sin, or of their sinful relationships.

Love the people? Yes absolutely. Does that mean loving all behavior that people choose to engage in? Absolutely not.
