Gotcha...It's actually the name of the New Mexico company who designed this self-sustaining home being built in Alberta. I'm really interested to know how they do in the winter there.

By the way...the first link in this post contains another links that takes you to real estate advertising. I just wanted to post the example of what these 'earthships' can look like. Pretty nice. And many of them are community/ volunteer built. I think that's great.

Thanks, Mendalla. If anyone's interested you can find video tours of these homes, on YouTube. Just put in the search word "earthships". They're all over the world. All unique. I saw a vid of one, there was snow on the ground, but inside they had a self regulating tropical greenhouse!
