@unsafe will probably be back. She usually doesn't abandon her conversations.
What I think unsafe is referring to when she said fill your boots is that you are picking on her when you should be picking on Satan instead. She feels your being duped by Satan therefore he should be your target not her. So again fill your boots with Satan's folly. I mean come on people the writing is on the wall. Of course it is only a guess on my part and only my two cents worth. I just can't get enough of the word people I guess. So again come on people get with the program dammit!

I think it's interesting that the very first biblical passage unsafe quotes is Job 15:6. In the story this line goes to Eliphaz, a friend of Job, trying to convince him to confess his sins (which Job hasn't committed.). Yes, the same Eliphaz, who toward the end of the book of Job, who, along with Bildad and Zophar, is essentially told by God that he doesn't know what he's talking about. By using such a quote from such a mouth, without taking into account what the person saying the quote is actually saying, it seems to me unsafe is undermining her own argument.

GeoFee ----your claim here from post #44 page 3----We are one in Christ whether you like it or not.

unsafe says
So what your saying is ------you can't provide the word of God that says what you believe ---and that is ---unbelievers --sinners --- are included with Born Again people who are called Saints and both groups are one in Christ ------

So in my belief there GeoFee ---if it is not in scripture which says it is God's word and it is truth ------then for me it is not from God ---I go by God's word not by what people say ------

This is the scripture I quoted which is from God's word -----and it tells us who is one in Christ ----and unbelievers are nor mentioned here ----

Romans 6:5-7 (EXB)

5 Christ died, and we have been ·joined with [united with; grafted into] him ·by dying too [or by participating in his death; L in the likeness of his death]. So we will also be ·joined with [united with; grafted into] him by rising from the dead as he did.

6 We know that our old ·life [self; L person] died with Christ on the cross so that our ·sinful selves [or body controlled by sin; L body of sin] would have no power over us and we would not be slaves to sin.

7 Anyone who has died is ·made free [justified; declared righteous] from ·sin’s control

unsafe says
So this says that we are one in Christ when we have died to our sinful nature and have risen a new free from Sin ----

So Sinners or unbelievers are not free from sin there GeoFee ---till they die to their old self and become born again ----

So your claim you make we are all one in Christ is a False claim according to the word of God ------in my view --If you want people to believe your claim ----then Provide the proof in God's word ------

Satan can make us believe as well there GeoFee as he can parade as an angel of light and deceive us ----so we are cautioned to be not to believe every spirit ----we are to use spiritual discernment and that is a gift of the Holy Spirit ----so I need to see God's word on your claim that we are all one in Christ ---I can't just take it on human authority -

...and in a similar vein.....I wasn't going to post this out of respect for the thread starter, but since I'm just gobsmacked that anyone would be so colossally unkind, I do not hesitate now. Enjoy!

If you want people to believe your claim
I do not want people to believe what I say. I only want them to think about the way of God and the way of the world. Each is called to seek, knock and ask. Each is called to count the cost and take up the cross. We do this in the company of others so minded. Our unity located in love and not biblical correctness.

GeoFee ----your quote ----I do not want people to believe what I say.

OK GREAT --That says it all ------thanks for your reply ----

so I need to see God's word on your claim that we are all one in Christ ---I can't just take it on human authority -
Jeremiah 31:34
No longer will each man teach his neighbor or his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquities and will remember their sins no more."

Yes, I've been told I lack the indwelling spirit and that I'm a Pharisee too. Interesting assessment from someone I've never met in person.
I think quite quite a few of us have been told this. It is sad that someone believes that they have the right and responsibility to interrupt conversations and discussions. Apparently, while we have the right to "believe us we want", we have no right to discuss it without being constantly told that we are wrong, and after hijacking the thread they give us their "correct" interpretation.

Ritafee ----your quote of scripture here -----
Jeremiah 31:34
No longer will each man teach his neighbor or his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquities and will remember their sins no more."

unsafe says -----Nice Try but no cigar as they says ----This verse you quote here is Prophesying about the coming of Jesus Christ -----and God here is talking to His Chosen the Jews -----not the Gentiles ----who were excluded from the chosen -----until Jesus Christ dies on the Cross ----this is your verse here

The New Agreement

31 This is what the Lord said, “The time is coming when I will make a new agreement with the family of Israel and with the family of Judah. 32 It will not be like the agreement I made with their ancestors. I made that agreement when I took them by the hand and brought them out of Egypt. I was their master, but they broke that agreement.” This message is from the Lord.
33 “In the future I will make this agreement with the people of Israel.” This message is from the Lord. “I will put my teachings in their minds, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. 34 People will not have to teach their neighbors and relatives to know the Lord, because all people, from the least important to the most important, will know me.” This message is from the Lord. “I will forgive them for the evil things they did. I will not remember their sins.”

Jeremiah 31 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
The New Israel
31 This is what the Lord said, “At that time I will be the God of all the tribes of Israel. And they will be my people.”

2 This is what the Lord says:
“The people who escaped the enemy’s sword will find comfort in the desert.
Israel will go there looking for rest.”
3 From far away, the Lord
will appear to his people.
The Lord says, “I love you people with a love that continues forever.
That is why I have continued showing you kindness.
4 Israel, my bride, I will rebuild you.
You will be a country again.
You will pick up your tambourines again.
You will dance with all the other people who are having fun.
5 You farmers of Israel will plant vineyards again.
You will plant the vineyards on the hills around the city of Samaria.
The farmers will enjoy the fruit from the vineyards.
6 There will be a time when watchmen[a] shout this message:
‘Come, let’s go up to Zion to worship the Lord our God!’
Even the watchmen in the hill country of Ephraim[b] will shout that message.”
7 This is what the Lord says:
“Be happy and sing for Jacob!
Shout for Israel, the greatest of the nations!
Sing your praises and shout:
‘Lord, save your people![c]
Save those who are left alive from the nation of Israel.’
8 Remember, I will bring Israel
from that country in the north.
I will gather the people of Israel
from the faraway places on earth.
Some of the people will be blind and crippled.
Some of the women will be pregnant and ready to give birth.
But many people will come back.
9 They will come back crying,
but I will lead them and comfort them.
I will lead them by streams of water.
I will lead them on an easy road,
where they will not stumble.
I will lead them in that way because I am Israel’s father.
And Ephraim is my firstborn son.
10 “Nations, listen to this message from the Lord!
Tell this message in the faraway lands by the sea:
‘God scattered the people of Israel,
but he will bring them back together.
And he will watch over his flock like a shepherd.’
11 The Lord will bring Jacob back.
He will save his people from those who are stronger.
12 The people of Israel will come to the top of Zion,
and they will shout with joy.
Their faces will shine with happiness about the good things the Lord gives them.
He will give them grain, new wine, olive oil, young sheep and cattle.
They will be like a garden that has plenty of water.
And the people of Israel will not be troubled anymore.
13 Then the young women of Israel will be happy and dance.
And the men, young and old, will join in the dancing.
I will change their sadness into happiness.
I will comfort my people, making them happy instead of sad.
14 I will give the priests plenty of food.
And my people will be filled and satisfied with the good things I give them.”
This message is from the Lord.
15 This is what the Lord says:
“A sound is heard in Ramah—
bitter crying and great sadness.
Rachel[d] cries for her children,
and she refuses to be comforted,
because her children are gone.”
16 But the Lord says, “Stop crying.
Don’t fill your eyes with tears.
You will be rewarded for your work.”
This message is from the Lord.
“The people of Israel will come back from their enemy’s land.
17 Israel, there is hope for you.”
This message is from the Lord.
“Your children will come back to their own land.
18 I have heard Ephraim crying:
‘Lord, you punished me, and I learned my lesson.
I was like a calf that was never trained.
Please stop punishing me,
and I will come back to you.
You really are the Lord my God.
19 I wandered away from you.
But I finally realized how wrong I was.
So I changed my heart and life.
I am ashamed and embarrassed
about the foolish things I did when I was young.’”
20 The Lord says,
“You know that Ephraim is my dear son.
I love that child.
Yes, I often criticized Ephraim,
but I still think about him.
I love him very much,
and I really do want to comfort him.
21 “People of Israel, repair the road signs.
Put up signs that show the way home.
Watch the road.
Remember the road you are leaving on.
Israel, my bride, come home.
Come back to your towns.
22 Unfaithful daughter,
how long will you wander around?
“The Lord has created something new in the land:
A woman surrounding a man.[e]”
23 This is what the Lord All-Powerful, the God of Israel, says: “I will again do good things for the people of Judah. I will bring back those who were taken away as prisoners. At that time the people in the land of Judah and in its towns will once again use these words: ‘May the Lord bless you, good home and holy mountain[f]!’

24 “People in all the towns of Judah will live together in peace. Farmers and those who move around with their flocks will live peacefully together in Judah. 25 I will give rest and strength to those who are weak and tired.”

26 After hearing that, I, Jeremiah, woke up and looked around. My sleep was very pleasant.

27 “The days are coming,” says the Lord, “when I will help the family of Israel and Judah to grow. I will help their children and animals to grow too. It will be like planting and caring for a plant. 28 In the past I watched over Israel and Judah, but I watched for the time to pull them up. I tore them down. I destroyed them. I gave many troubles to them. But now I will watch over them to build them up and make them strong.” This message is from the Lord.

29 “People will not use this saying anymore:

‘The parents ate the sour grapes,
but the children got the sour taste.’[g]
30 No, people will die for their own sins. Those who eat sour grapes will get the sour taste.”

The New Agreement
31 This is what the Lord said, “The time is coming when I will make a new agreement with the family of Israel and with the family of Judah. 32 It will not be like the agreement I made with their ancestors. I will not remember their sins.”

The Lord Will Never Leave Israel
35 He makes the sun shine in the day,
and he makes the moon and the stars shine at night.
He stirs up the sea so that its waves crash on the shore.
The Lord All-Powerful is his name.
This is what the Lord says:
36 “The descendants of Israel will never stop being a nation.
That would happen only if I lost control of the sun, moon, stars, and sea.”
37 The Lord says, “I will never reject the descendants of Israel.
That would happen only if people could measure the sky above,
and learn all the secrets of the earth below.
Only then would I reject them for the bad things they have done.”
This message is from the Lord.
The New Jerusalem
38 This message is from the Lord, “The days are coming when the city of Jerusalem will be rebuilt for the Lord. The whole city will be rebuilt—from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate. 39 The measuring line[h] will stretch from the Corner Gate straight to the hill of Gareb and then turn to the place named Goah. 40 The whole valley where dead bodies and ashes are thrown and all the terraces down to the bottom of Kidron Valley all the way to the corner of Horse Gate will be holy to the Lord. The city of Jerusalem will never again be torn down or destroyed.”

According to a certain evangelical worldview, we have the right to "believe as we want" but in doing so, we condemn ourselves.

Not my theology, of course, but I have learned about this way of thinking on the bible study threads.

I agree with you, Paradox. They can tell us condescendingly that we have a right to believe as we want,

But apparently we don't have the right to discuss it. I know that on my thread about reading the Bible 'all the way through' she made any attempt at discussion impossible by constantly interrupting to insult me and tell me that I had no understanding (or indwelling of the spirit or whatever) and to tell others I was being misled by Satan and to give her correct interpretation.

I don't agree with you that she has a great knowledge of the Bible or any understanding of this message. I think that she has resources and a good understanding of how to search for what she wants on the Internet (or she has good backup from like-minded the evangelists).

I noticed that you do tend to ignore her posts and move on – I tried to do the same on my thread after I found out that there is no sense in trying to reason with her.

I admire your patience.

parodox3 -----your quote ----According to a certain evangelical worldview, we have the right to "believe as we want" but in doing so, we condemn ourselves.

unsafe says -----your playing the blame game here ------it is the view of God that people condemn themselves for their lack of knowledge and by their own words ----this is all Scriptural ---you and others condemn the people who believe the word and speak the truth ----there lies the problem ----take responsibility for our own words and beliefs -----we all have free choice ---my choice is I believe the word of God to be truth ---you believe different -----so it has to do with each one's own choice -----the scripture is very clean and concise in certain scripture and is easy to understand while some are not so easy ----they need consulting with the proper person to give enlightenment to understand the meaning that is behind the word which is where the Holy Spirit comes in to play ----

Pretty plain piece of scripture here ---what is it that you don't understand here -------you either believe this or you don't -----if you personally don't believe in this scripture then it is not the evangelical worldview that condemns --it is our unbelief and hardened heart to believe and have the right person indwelling to help us understand ----it is a personal free choice -----Humans hate to hear the truth and love to blame others for their own bad theology -----it seems you like to do a Bible study but don't want to accept what the Bible says ---you did Matthew and here is what it says -----

Matthew 12:37 Amplified Bible (AMP)
37 For by your words [reflecting your spiritual condition] you will be justified and acquitted of the guilt of sin; and by your words [rejecting Me] you will be condemned and sentenced.”

unsafe says
So we see God is saying this---- the person Preaching is stating God's word not their own words ------and believes what it is saying ----it is not the Preachers fault for others unbelief of what the truth says -----

Take responsibility for our own rejection of the Word -----and our unbelief that the Word is truth as it says it is --

And here is another thing ------God's Love for His Creation is unconditional -----God will love us no matter our choice we make to believe or not to believe His Word or in Him -----He will love us as we choose to spend all eternity in torment and He will love us as we go there ------as that is our own choice -----

His Covenants are Conditional and that my friends is the real truth -------if you don't accept Jesus then you don't accept God ---and that is Scriptural -----there is no inbetween and there is no recourse -----His Righteous judgment kicks in -----
