Breaking Bad Action Figures

I just heard yesterday, and LMAO - at the absurdity - that Breaking Bad characters carrying a bag of cash and crystal meth, were pulled of the shelves of Toys R Us after a petition got thousands of signatures. Now there's a larger petition to bring them back. It's not that funny, in practice. My thought was "what were the toy manufacturers thinking, and what kind of parents would buy these things in the first place?"

Who did the market research on that one - I wonder? And are they totally unscrupulous?

They aren't really for kids. They are adult collectibles. It's a huge segment of the toy business now.

Which doesn't necessarily mean ToysRUs should sell them. I used to find them more in comic and gaming stores back when I used to frequent them.

They were in the 16+ section, which Chemguy informed me Toys R Us has. I think there's video games that are worse, although I don't really get why someone would want a Breaking Bad figurine.

McFarlane Toys did some decent collectables for movies/shows, but, it appears these are from a different company
They typically are in a separate section of the store, where adult type collectibles are, or historically that is where I found them.

Have you seen spawn characters? they are much scarier.
