Baggage Fees - More Fair?

I can see the issues though.

Average woman is probably around 125. Average man around 180. (Just guessing here).

So right away the man pays more?

And when I travel with my hubby I usually mix our clothes and shoes up in our bags. His second pair of work shoes weigh lot more than mine. If we each packed our own suitcase his would weight much more than mine

So I get that it is a big issue. And if course obese people will also scream discrimination



But it's frustrating.


And the people who crowd onto a plane with apparently everything they need for a month drive me crazy

I have not flown for a few years, but my past experience with carry-on by others wasn't great. Most on the flight had carry-ons. Perhaps they had checked baggage too, I don't know. But when it was time to de board, all those with carry ons blocked the aisles getting their luggage out, when those of us who could have just walked off right away had to sit and wait. We he a connecting flight to make and had to wait while others struggled to retrieve their luggage. I think if you have carry on, you should have to de board last.

I would rather all costs were included in ticket price so you know exactly what the cost is upfront.

Airline costs where I live are ridiculous. For me to fly from my home town to the city, it costs way more than what most of you can fly overseas for. Most people start their journey by driving 8 hours first to get to the city. But we don't have west jet here, but it am sure other airlines will follow.

I always bring carry on with me, in addition to a checked bag and now will have much more I need to bring and I think that makes a lot of sense.
