2 days ago Namana started taking antibiotics for a uti. Last night was her first good night’s sleep. Namana is feeling much better now. And when Namana feels better I also wake up feeling better.

I wish there was more I could do to help! But I would still talk to homecare to get some extra help like we chatted about. It may take a huge load off your shoulders. You can message me if you have any more questions other than we we talked about initially. She's such a beautiful, funny, sweet lady.

Glad things got a bit easier for both of you.

Then came the disaster which involved me asking for help from a nurse practitioner. The home care supervisor came instead and said having a nurse practitioner come and review the medication was unwarranted. Things happened very quickly after that because they were afraid of violence because they reported that I had yelled at the home care supervisor.

The nurse practitioner did not come. Instead next thing I new without any further discussion about the nurse practitioner they put Namana in respite on Friday morning in an assessment ward at a care home

Ah Naman, keep your cool:giggle:, remember the best arguments don't sound like one. Maybe try again tomorrow if you have questions.
Something happening that you supect medication problems or just wanting to possibly rule that out?

And the family were also very surprised and said that they had never in the had never heard me yell at anyone during the 40 years I have been on the scene.

(((((Naman)))))) sorry you are having a hard time dealing with the 'system' you live in. They always seem to have a zillion rules that prevent meaningful discussion and problem solving. Hope it all gets sorted out satisfactorily.

However about 4 years ago some residents at First Baptist Place were very startled. We were having chapel in the lounge when we heard a slight snapping noise and one of the residents told me to look up at the ceiling. I did and immediately stated yelling GET OUT OF HERE. We were barely out the door when a heavy ceiling beam came crashing down where we had just been sitting. We had to stay out of the lounge for two or 3 months while the rest of the beams were replaced. The other residents said that they were surprised at how loud I could yell. But I did not realize I had been yelling that loudly.

You sounded an effective alarm - and many were thankful!

Will you go out to the farm for a bit while Namana is in respite?

Oh, Naman, this sounds like life is out of your control. Must be really hard wanting to see the best for Namana and being frustrated at the way her care is being managed. I hate that out of control feeling myself.

Namana got a new doctor who comes to an office in College Park once a week. I do not think he made the right changes to the medication and I wanted help from the nurse practitioner who in Saskatchewan is qualified to revise medication.

Another possibility could be a pharmacy review if that's available.
I hope you come to a resolution where all are happy with her care.

I drove to the farm on Monday. The first two days that Namana was in respite I was too upset to drive. Now I am at the farm with a bad head cold

I spent yesterday at the farm resting in the camper because I have a bad head cold. Today I seem to be well on the way to recover.
