More and more often I come across fully verified news stories that sound like pure fiction or bad movie scripts.

Like what just happened in Tennessee:

Christa Pike, sentenced to death for a 1995 murder, has survived two separate doses of "lethal" injection pentobarbital.

Witnesses reported hearing her snore, and she remained conscious with a perceptible heartbeat long after the backup dose was administered.

Now Christa Pike is being kept "alive" on advanced life support under armed guard at a Level 1 trauma center.

Short story long:

Headliners so bizarre, you assume they’re from The Onion but are a real, verified news story?

Post 'em if you got 'em
(no satire sites like The Onion or unverified rumors).

This happens when people don't know what they are doing but swear that they do as subterfuge ... for the sake of position as in the PEDE Prin.

It is a gross enigma and we do reside Inuit ... intuit? Bere in mind that casual crossing ... bubbly?

Yes ... life can be intoxicating to a certain gathering ... they just get high on believing ... that doesn't have to be virtuosity ... ends in rodding and staffing the mistakes for high level grilling ...

When I read that story I planted my tongue in my cheek and said it wasn't surprising. The chosen drugs , loke most drugs, were only tested on men!

A country noted for killing people fails at killing a person. Sigh. To be honest, the whole lethal injection thing at this point is probably less humane than going back to firing squads. No one survived those because the squad commander administered a coup de grace with his pistol to be sure. And beheading was pretty much foolproof, too, but I suspect the guillotine or headsman's axe would be a tough sell in 2026.

Of course, the ideal solution is to STOP f***ING KILLING PEOPLE AS PART OF YOUR "JUSTICE" SYSTEM.

Sorry, had to get that out.

Pike would have been the first woman put to death by Tennessee in at least 200 years.

The overseeing physician, Dr. Mark Fowler, also managed the May 2026 halted execution of Tony Carruthers over IV access issues.

Governor Bill Lee has since paused Tennessee's remaining 2026 executions and ordered a third-party review.

Pike remains in critical condition receiving medical care.

Isn't killing the greatest indication of those winning the God Game?

If uncertified folk do it some charges apply ... rather like natural medicine and uncertain pharmacist al elation ... quantum science?

Be very cautious about who you prescribe carrots ...

Let us root for the counterpoint ... go all out to top it off ... farinaceous frenzy about being part of that vegetable family made famous in a myth ... about wort ... thus we were re worted ... lumped in space?

Gourds and relatives like Mellons ... and wines ... as they zing through ...

Another bizarre turn of events for Pike.

Ad mit the powers will try and eliminate anything ... it is the nature of power ... thus I submit to hypo form ... all whetted?

Everything is to be liquidated so the head man can pack up and go wherever he wills ... with funds ... alien countries will accept any kind of tyrant ...

Somebody even bought out the Avro Eros ... the only explanation in Moni ... nothing else has that kind of drawl ...

I think a very horrifying thing about this is that it took 32 years from the time she murdered someone until the state attempted to execute her. She's 50, she was 18 when she commited the murder, was charged and convicted. Isn't 32 years under the shadow of state death "cruel and unusual punishment"

And given how badly the U.S manages lethal injection, I'm left to wonder if they shouldn't consult the MAiD folks up north, who seem to be accomplishing it without such awful hiccups.

I was thinking about that, too. But- it is very clear that they do not want a peaceful death. They want the victims relatives to see a painful death. The alternative options have been there all along.
Now they can legally only kill her again if she demonstrates enough understanding as to why, so doesn’t have any brain damage. Which is hypocritical, because they have killed people who had mental health issues as well as low IQs.

But then if there is minor evidence that she has gone against the folk with capital intentions ... dissipation activity!

And now we have Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth glowing over the Pentagon's plan to LIVESTREAM A FIRING SQUAD!! Like WT Everlasting F? Even many Republicans are pointing out that public executions are the kind of thing you see in dictatorships and absolute monarchies, not Western democratic republics. I can sort of understand, given the US context, executing this guy (though executing a soldier, who is paid and trained to kill people, for doing just that is ironic to a degree) but not turning the execution into a public spectacle.

Yeah, the Trump administration just gets weirder and more like some kind of absolute monarchy all the time.

And brutality is the great ideal ... contrary to popular belief ...
