Announcing April 5, 2026, as a Global Day of Prayer

If there is something we can get behind that softens hearts and makes people work toward mutually beneficial solutions, it ain't prayer.
Might work if there is profit involved, and therein lies the problem.

it brings together people of various cultures to pray for justice and peace,
Can there be justice and peace if they refuse to let go of the ongoing ways of mankind? You can't fix something using the same ideals that broke it in the first place, each using the same for their own purposes.

I think that the OP is not talking about the WOrld Day of Prayer but about something different.
Exactly. No other day of prayer follows three tasks set upon mankind: To put the will of the Father ahead of our own, thus acting in servitude to Him and all mankind, plus spread only the Gospel of the Kingdom and no other.
The world gives us two sides and expects us to play the game. We need not follow either. Canadians should know that, compliments of Tommy Douglas.

Announcing April 5, 2026, as a Global Day of Prayer

How about we commemorate a day of renewal called Easter Sunday as a global day of prayer for world leaders of all kinds? Not prayer that they may find wisdom in following the traditional self-serving ways and systems of mankind, but that they may alternately find and follow the Will of God that serves both Him and each other as a whole. Throw in a p.s. that those who support the leaders and systems of our world may also change their ways and realize that we all have it backwards. Forward this in any way you wish to join a movement and to make it a yearly, if not daily event.
It is remarkable to see a call for world leaders to find "wisdom" when you have only just finished arguing that human wisdom and diligence are "from the Tree of Knowledge" and therefore a spiritual failing. If human systems are merely "pollution," then praying for leaders to navigate them is a logical dead end by your own standards.

This appears to be another attempt to take the moral high ground through abstract piety instead of addressing the practical responsibilities the Bible actually demands. You are essentially asking for a global movement to support the very "human systems" you previously dismissed as enmity with God. It is difficult to take this call to prayer seriously when your own logic is so inconsistently applied.

I said the opposite
Claiming you "said the opposite" is a remarkable bit of revisionism. You previously cited Luke 16:15 and James 1:27 to argue that human systems are an "abomination" and that one must remain "unpolluted by the world." If those systems are an abomination, then your call to pray for leaders to navigate them, even "alternately", is a complete contradiction of your own stated position.

You cannot frame human diligence and worldly systems as "enmity with God" one moment and then propose a global movement to reform them the next. This constant shifting of the goalposts suggests you don't actually have a coherent stance; you are simply reacting to being proved wrong. If you are now claiming that human systems are not "pollution," then you have effectively conceded the entire argument from the previous thread.

Side note... did you know that if the word Yahweh is said properly it is a breath of inward and outward air. The breath of life.

Such is the nature of the wind ... and then the dislike of these mills ... in and out and on and off ... up and down by times!

The sol wavers and weaves ... like Ba Tout 've Ell ... d' bugging machine ...

Can you imagine such counter conspiracies growing into a needless struggle ... when we'll likely kill ourselves off anyway with communicable unease ... de stress of living insanely?

Many cannot see insane and they believe all is well ... but profound! Only the Pro. knows? One more bit of folly ... the little people suffer the bottom line load ... tread lightly said one man ... humus?

I just wonder how many who will be Praying are actually True Christians with the indwelling Holy Spirit to get their pray answered ---and there is protocol in scripture for answered prayer from Jesus Himself -----

Anyone can call themselves a Christian and are False Christians who will not get their prayers answered as they are away from God as per Scripture -----

Also Satan can block your prayer too as seen in Daniel 10 -----and Thessalonian 2

So even true Christians who harbour any grudges toward someone will have their prayer Blocked ---or has any doubts about their pray not being answered will have their prayer blocked by their own Doubt ----wrong motive will block your prayer

God already knows what your going to pray and has already answered it before you even pray it ----

Jesus says ---

then propose a global movement to reform them the next
The proposed global movement is not one created of man but an outside force. Common word for the action of rejecting worldly ways focused upon gain at the expense of others for self is repentance.

One need not be a Christian nor any other religion to understand servitude over selfishness and wish that world leaders would reverse their ways accordingly.. Its all God ever asked of us.

So your not praying to God to have Him intervene to help -----this is all done by people wishing and a hoping by one's own mental meditation and reflection -----is that what this is ------

So it is not about Praying --it is about wishing that the world leaders would reverse their error ways by humans just focusing through their own mental means ------which to me seems really accomplishing nothing ----

So why call it a Global Day of Prayer ---call it what it is ---Human meditation and reflection trying to change leaders through the human mind ----which will not change anything or anyone ---

Nor without God's help will False followers of the Way understand what true
servitude over selfishness really is ----they are born in selfishness and serve in selfishness as they are a product of their Sin Nature ---and when they do serve they are serving giving themselves the glory not God ----- and their efforts will be Fruitless ----

Jesus says this ---John 15

5 I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.

7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

I prayed for my friends in Mexico to be protected from the wrath of the cartels and my prayers were answered - does that count.

I agree, but the concept is praying His Will will be done and they become willing to accept it (if that be His Will lol)

Many religions pray. Despite what centuries of Christian arrogance might suggest, other religions hare valid ways to God and their prayers are as meaningful as Christian prayers are.
THat said, often groups that announce things like a Global Day of Prayer (or a National Prayer Breakfast for another example) think that only Christianity counts as a true way to God.

No ---not according to Scripture ----you can think that God has answered your Prayer --

But His word makes it very clear ---who he He hears and who He doesn't hear ---you don't have to believe it ---but you can't change what God says

AI Overview

Scripture says God does not answer the prayers of those living in active rebellion or unrepentant sin, as their prayers are considered an abomination
Proverbs 28:9

Key verses include
John 9:31 ("God doesn't listen to sinners"), Isaiah 59:1-2, and Psalm 66:18, emphasizing that iniquity hinders answered prayer, though God always hears prayers of sincere repentance.

Key Scriptural References:

John 9:31 (CJB/KJV):
"We know that God doesn't listen to sinners; but if anyone fears God and does his will, God does listen to him".

Isaiah 59:1-2 (NKJV): "But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, that He will not hear".

Many religions pray. Despite what centuries of Christian arrogance might suggest, other religions hare valid ways to God and their prayers are as meaningful as Christian prayers are.
You can call it whatever GoedW but the Scripture says what it says ----just because people choose not to believe it doesn't change what God has said in His word -----

you either believe it or you don't --

You can all get mad and stamp your feet and call true believers all the names you like ---but it won't change what God says in His Bible ----maybe many other Religions have a god who answers everybody's prayers but this God says He doesn't
