A solution to Gae iddy is soberest ... and I've seen enough sober ministers of the light to darken my life ...

Tis a sadistic state no? Charles Baudelaire may have struck a point of sensitivity in the literal sense of drunkenness to power and the opposing force ... humility in a partisan group of the other side ... bottom line fundamentals instead of success-ism? One should fail at life and thus the death of the pyre ... cherry picking Pi ... a peculiar perspective on the rational of rationing wealth?

Excesses lead to corruption ... and you know how authority feels about cynicism ...

Fair comment. Although, I would imagine that if it was vitally important to cure homosexuality, Jesus would have engaged himself in doing so. Why would he not.

He was still healing sinners 30 years after the gospel accounts? I was speaking of Jesus' earthly ministry (I stated that clearly).

Then Jesus was an odd force in Republican wishes that the common folk learn nothing ... and all became passionate in things that were not pragmatic ... a sophisticated concern ...

Few can understand sophistication as the demand the simple KISS relationship with great wisdom ... they really didn't wish to know much ...

Be cautious of oppression of the Shadow ... happens in de light ... when cast on a line drawn in the sand ... the Shadow is hermeneutic ... a bit odd or just funny as cast away from delight?

It all can be mimicked by a Black Pearl, a strange Jinn, or Gems-tone?

When oppressed does the myth become deep?

Not sure why you are trying to tie me to exodus international - why not Benny hinn or crefro dollar.
Because Exodus International was a ministry dedicated to curing gay people.
They had quite a contingent of very motivated persons who wanted and tried to do away with their homosexuality.
The success rate was virtually zero ..... even amongst a very dedicated and motivated staff.
This is directly applicable to the topic of this thread and in my opinion lends credence to the notion that homosexuality is not something to be "cured" nor indeed "controlled" by prayer no matter how earnest.
That is why I am focusing on Exodus International .....
Now could you address my question please??? ... your thoughts on that question????

airclean ..... I also invite you to comment on the lack of success of Exodus International.
They espoused a view of scripture very similar to yours....
Why was is such a staggering failure???? .... Was scripture not strong enough?
What was their flaw???
I would be very interested to know your thoughts because this was a ministry that tried to do it your way.

--Well posted --Pontifex Geronimo--I agree. Remember they still never gave one verse were GOD said it was OK.

I love 1 Corinthians 6:9-11. It's a wonderful few verses when used in proper context. Not that it gives an example of Jesus healing someone from being gay during his earthly ministry.

No Jae it just shows were GOD is saying . NO to GAYS once more.

1Co 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor sexual perverts,

1Co 6:10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God.

1Co 6:11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.

Why do you think that the passage refers to gay people? I'm not sure what you think a sexual pervert is, but in my mind, it has a lot to do with consent (hint: children, critters, the developmentally handicapped, the unconscious, cannot consent). There are two words in there that need translating: the greek word arsenokoites, appears to have been coined by Paul, has been translated to mean a number of things, "abusers of oneself with mankind" among them. The other word in the passage, malakos means "soft" and is often translated as "effeminate". Which rather contradicts your position that it's okay to be gay, but not to act on it. We keep on coming back to this airclean, in our conversations: the problems of translation. I'll give you a hint as to how I deal with translation issues: I err on the side of loving, and kind.

Thus they sanc out of sight of the haute handed ...

Developing depth in the parable ... missed by the superficial powers ... jude'n or Judi'n on the surface ovate!

Standing ovation at the end? This is parallel to ET ... who's gone hommoe ... Gae-Ls of laughter after escaping a stoic kingdom ... allows for freedom of MO ... and space where you don't upset theo-ther ...

..... airclean ..... the invitation is still open for you to respond to my request for comments on the failure of Exodus International.
