Why can't Stephen Booth give his opinion same as you give yours RitaTG? You've always seemed to me to be someone open to and inviting dialogue. Including with people who don't agree with you. Are words like, "LEAVE NOW, and GO" helpful?

Being God's world, and not mine, He gets to choose what is sin and what is not.
King David committed sexual sin and then murder, yet was a man after God's own heart.
I guess one has to read the book to see how that works. Psalms.

There is only one unforgivable sin. If you want to stand against God and tell him your version of what is sin and what is not - go for it.

If the bible clearly says, God doesn't like something and you tell me he does like it. You can try to convince me, I could be wrong.

If I went to my friend's mother's place and she was out, but left a note that said, "Please come in, I will be home soon. Please remove your dirty shoes."

I could gather that she is welcoming, but requires respect.

If I choose not to remove my shoes, or listen to someone who tells me she would rather I didn't take off my shoes, even though I read her note, that would be disrespectful.

I've read the bible (note) many times. You will have a hard time convincing me that I should wear my shoes in his presence (house).

I agree with your post ------This seems like it is coming from an angry unforgiving heart ---which is not Christian like -----all of us deserve respect and a second chance ----Whatever Stephen Booth did in the past to anger people --is in the past and needs to be let go ---This is a different sight and a different time and we need to forgive the past and move on to the future ------
 
So this is completely true to form. Doesn't matter whether it's the New Site, or the Old Site, there's an old guard of Orthodox Christians who will wade in to clobber their LGBTQ neighbours whenever the opportunity arises.

Not one, not one of you, had enough frigging guts to admit that the theology of the church has killed kids in the past, continues to do so in the present, and will kill kids in the future. Crappy theology used to scapegoat the other. Pshaw! I'm disgusted with you all.

Bette, I believe that people are responsible for their own actions.
 
And so there's no such thing as systemic injustice, cultural advantages. Being a scapegoated population has no effect on the mental health of said population. You think we all have perfect free will. I call major bulls**t.

I believe that the church, as a whole, OWES the LGBTQ community the same sort of REAL apology that it owes the aboriginal peoples of the world, and the planet itself. By REAL, I'm implying an "apology with teeth", one that actually seeks to repair, make reparations, make amends, fix, restore.

Disgusted is definitely the word I was looking for. Not a one of you. Gutless.

Something that grows on yah like Moses on de North side of the tree ... a dark thought? The Gaels refer to this a Mistral ... a cooling wind after a day with the B'ithchiis? Some say the breeches ... when Canan are placed ... often below deck so the other will not see if they are primed? Thus they go off as a sin ... a pain to learn from in reverse psychology? Thes things do come bac katch yah ... tis a thing of great adept ... grater depth?

There is very good reason why I don't want Stephen Booth here.
He and I have history for which he is completely unapologetic.
Further his abusive and deceptive behaviour issues remain unchanged (others have reason to know)
I refuse to be an enabler.....

Yes I did Pinga ..... this is a church taking responsibility and leadership.
This is going to do so much to promote healing and inspire dialogue
This is going to be a a very strong signal of Sincere Welcome and I am sure many church orphaned LGBTQ persons are going to be drawn to it.
I am grateful :)

There are very compelling reasons as to why Stephen Booth is not welcome here.
I am not going to discuss those.
This is an abusive person that has a clear history that continues unabated on the internet right to this very day.
 
....as for you airclean ..... although I strongly disagree with your theology and viewpoint and often find your posts personally disturbing I do not see you in the same light as Stephen Booth.
Now on to your post.....
I expect this sort of close minded theology from you .....
I find you a great example of the sorts of religious attitudes that contributes to the death of LGBTQ kids.
