Rather like me on a good day. :giggle:

Only flurries yesterday and I am glad of the break. I am running out of places to put snow. At least the temperature is creeping up. This below -10 with wind chill below -20 crap is getting tired fast. We are past the worse, though, at least here.

The sun! The sun! I had forgotten what a blue sky looked like. I say prayers of gratitude every morning...this has to top the list!
Yeah, I had a moment like that last week. This week hasn't been bad on the sun front. It's been out for at least few hours almost every day so far. Even this morning, it was kind of showing through the cloud.

Two days of baby sitting and I am happy to go to work tomorrow. Much easier (;at least in my position). Granddaughter seems to be somewhat on the mend but still has really bad coughing spells and gets cranky easily. ( but then fights to go to sleep). I don’t remember my son fighting that much to fall asleep. ( I remember slowly walking backwards from the bed, sitting with eyes closed pretending to sleep… but not this kind of restlessness. -Her head is on the mattress while her legs are pushing her bum up and pushing and pushing, eyes already closed- I was thinking of restless leg syndrome ….
I was too tired to go to pickle ball tonight and I will be 8n bed an hour early…

Good morning, all! Happy Friday! The snow storms seem to have gone down to flurries, and next week will be "warmer" too. Still winter, for sure, but still more pleasant. For sightings of the sun shining, finishing a spell of baby sitting, pub choirs making melodies, and other nice things begin to pile in. We can chat about these things as we gather in spirit round the Coffee Cart, where we converse. connect, and support one another, over tea, coffee, and wonderful baked goodies. Today the Wonderbaker has produced a wonderful batch of doughnuts of many varieties for our enjoyment.2 Let us rejoice! The tea water is boiling, and the coffee is freshbrewed; doughnuts are nice and warm. All is ready, and y'all are invited! come in and join in!

Our next storm is scheduled for Sunday into Monday. 15-30 cm. I am hoping for 15. I am worried about 30, which likely wouldn’t let me get out of the subdivision. And I promised a friend to dig her out and take her to her appointment at the hospital for 6.45. So I will be starting to shovel myself out at 5. Hopefully the snow plough will have been there.
Right now, it looks like they are only forecasting 15 for my area, but who knows. I think I am making myself too much stress.

On and on winter goes, when it stops, nobody knows.

I was meeting with some guys from Newfoundland about a project this afternoon and they are saying Monday for them.

We have a chance of flurries tonight and snow on Monday but only 40% probability right now.

Nice Sunny Day Sunday!

I cry when I see snowflakes on my weather app.Snowblower developed non-terminal illness this week. Requires p/u truck to move it to guy who can fix it *sigh*
Like you don't know someone with a truck. Wednesday? Next forecasted snow is a week today. Might be able to do it Monday.

Hell, I might be able to fix the beast. Lemme know why it's sick.

Sorry to hear people are snowed in or still dealing with it. I hope it warms up sooner rather than later.

I got up early this morning to wash up because they had to shut the water off in my building all day today. Came home and fell asleep, bedside light on, at about 3 - reading commentary about Catherine O’Hara (I’m sad too), woke up at 8:30 (am or pm took me a few moments - pm!) Greeted with brown water sputtering out of the tap ( still groggy, almost forgot why it was like that) - still in bed, still feeling tired but restless - like jet lag - now I don’t know when I’ll get back to sleep. But I have lasagna for a night-time “breakfast”, you could call it. Garfield’s favourite. Maybe that’ll help.

I came here feeling like “Oh, it’s morning!” My mind hadn’t adjusted. Weird sensation lol

Snow blower troubles- I hardly use mine , only if heavy snow. So I had it ready for the first bad one- and then it wouldn’t start. It was still dark. I checked everything. Thought it was because I still had last year’s gas in it.
Had to shovel. Asked Junior to come by before the next storm to check it out. Took him two minutes to find out I had no gas in it at all. Works fine now…..

light snow last night, and frigid temperatures.
Drove home around 8pm, and passed a pickup in the ditch. They were fine. Looked like they pulled over, and didn't realize there was a ditch (or got sucked in). When my husband came by about 45 min later they were being pulled out by another pickup. (I felt bad driving by buthad forgotten my phone at the house when i left, so was of no use to pull over, they looked fine, and I would be just another potential person to get hit or go in the ditch)

we're warming slightly, but, still looking at highs of -6 today.
