It’s raining a bit now. No wind, but I’m tired and need to be out much of today. It was just howling last night. Whistling, and tree branches hitting the building. That noise was something metal - maybe a patio chair? - and hollow blowing down the road, I think, scraping the pavement. It wasn’t a nice sound. Stuff was probably blowing off of nearby apartment balconies. I remember seeing a plastic chair in a tree once. We get some bad wind storms out here occasionally.

Storm knocks out power to more than 100,000 on B.C.’s South Coast

Wow - that’s not good - our power wasn’t out long considering. I’m in a different place on the south coast. No rain here right now. It was pouring buckets yesterday, most of the evening until later at night.

I saw that story, too. Thought of you right away. I think we sometimes forget how nasty wind can be. In Ontario, save the odd tornado or derecho, it's mostly ice that does that kind of damage.
 
Good morning! We remember those dealing with weather, power outages, and other inconveniences, hoping power has been restored, or will be soon. As we gather round the Coffee Cart, for conversation and community, may we listen to one another and be drawn closer. The tea water is boiling (which can be used for hot chocolate s well), The coffee is freshbrewed. The Baker has provided us with date-and-nut pinwheels to enjoy. All is ready, everything is fresh, everybody welcome! Come join the fun!

Did you note the rant from the greatest power yesterday? Will it affect your daze?

Only nothing escapes so bail out on everything ... that's God !!! False item of contemplation ... a merei will or desire gone bad? Isolated phonetic!

One must hold the mouth just so as the leaders get that look in their eye, or I'z! I say awe ... these folk are missing something ... thus delinquent personality development as Kruger Ross ... depressing ... all goes downhill after the hammering ... water hammer? Many are just twizzled ... pure dissonance? Don't know which way is up ... some enlightenment may be advantageous ... but that would suggest learning.

Are passionate folk prone to learning before an adequate age? What's the chance ...

If you say anything of import ... make sure no one understands as they hate to learn foreign matter ... thus intellect converts to crap ... well, at least in some places ...

Defines quanta as a Folsom Journey ... a whistler is prerequisite!
 
There is a classic expression (old?) to be prepared; can we ask about what?

Is it potentially everything that might be opposed in spirit? Thus divine splits in the essence ... possibly a' phantasia ... a spin off on aphasia when the word is just not at hand ...

Those with forbidden hubris will declare they have it all ... when they are MS Taken ... by a complex little woman ... this can be an enigma affecting powerful peoples including politicians, monarchies and churchmen on Heide ... resemble John Dee! It too was a wessel ... small beaded Ayes ... Oyez!

I'm skipping on the politics / Colbert. Just going to hang out in Room for All, and hear what you all are up to?

I had a social last night for my Toastmasters team. It is a treat to sit with them, as the one thing about it, they all tend to have the desire to have conversation, and these ones are all good at it.
Conversations wove in and around. Humour was sprinkled in.

Donkeys will be heated as declared by Cervantes in the joust! Can't you see those taken advantage ... limping along? Ivory legs???

Sometimes there is unseen material ... some folk will eliminate much that occurs ... thus occul 'dt ... like gamma that's dark too (Leonard Coh en) ...

Sounds fun. I haven't really had a night like that in a long time. Probably need to find something like Toastmasters. The local humanists would have been an option at one time. I knew most of them through the UU fellowship anyhow. However, they kind of packed it in during the pandemic. Should look to see if there've been any attempts at reviving the group.

Was it one of those gift exchanges where you steal each other's gifts? I have never enjoyed those but most people seem to think they are great fun.
 
No, but our gifts were things from our homes...not something we went out to buy. So, each gift came with a story. The only stealing that would have been allowed was if the last number drawn (that's how we chose gifts) ended up getting the gift they had brought. Then, they would have been allowed to 'trade'.
