And other people who also emphasize the same ideas instead of how Jesus taught people to treat one another. There’s deep irony in that, even biblically.

Sometimes the bible reinforces beliefs about how to treat people - good and bad - that they already had before they read it.

The Bible is a book, and an anthology at that. Many authors, many times and places, many stories (sometimes many different versions of the same story). There's things we can learn from that book. There's things in that books that are of their time and should stay in that time. Making one book the sole basis of our whole life without trying to understand the historical and social context of that book carries the risk of taking the wrong things away from it. That doesn't just apply to The Bible or other religious and philosophical texts, but becomes especially important with them.

Personally, I don't sole source my philosophy or spirituality. That alone serves as a check since having multiple sources informing you allows you to see commonalities and contrasts, which helps identifies the good, the bad, and the ugly in each. And to recognize that they are all human creations with human ideas, not tablets handed down from heaven.

Who is it that believes they have the power to authorize anything, anytime on anybody?

Oh yah ... those tyrannical type that do not know that you cannot please everyone, all the time about anything ... and in that racket one has to find serendipity (calm)? What a funny if not paradoxical challenge ...

I gave you a very sound and easy means to show you're right that you have an audience beyond less than the bakers dozen or so of us. You respond with taunting GIFs but haven't put in any effort. Had you spent as much time in regular Google search instead of image search, you'd have your answer.

That shows we got 560 visits in October, to the entire site. Threads you're active in will receive their corresponding fraction of that traffic.

So you don't get the eyeballs you seek, but if you did....what do you suppose they would think of you? Of how you respond to others?

If you're such a fan of Jesus, is this how he would post?

To reitierate, I'm not upset with you at all. I think you're showing the limited visitors here exactly what faith can do.

But where's your self-awareness? If you have any living faith leaders you follow, would you show them your posts here? What do you think they would say?
