Room For All

Welcome to Wondercafe2!

A community where we discuss, share, and have some fun together. Join today and become a part of it!

Good morning! The weekend is here! Reading about what Bette has been doing can indeed take one's breath away. Active days and slothful days, snow coming and changing tires for the season, and all the stuff that happens today, we bring it with us to the Coffee Cart, where we chat, support, and connect over tea and coffee and baked goodies. Today we have bear claws to enjoy. The tea water boils, coffee finishes brewing, and the bear claws are soft and warm. All is ready, everyone is welcome, Come in, enjoy the company, have a mug or cup and a claw, and join the conversations!

Are you fascinated by the fact that one has to be notorious in this dimension to be noted?

Is it because of our overpowering urge to have someone to blame for our short-falls ... short-falls often being social accommodations! One does it they all follow in orders ...

Individual thoughts? These are turned out and are thus beyond us as out-of-body (soma) images in the night Eire ... accounts for the blackened and tanned ... beat to death? Consequences are that we now know nothing because of the great conceiving that ... well; its best not to know! Celestial humus ... best to have a funny air about you and folks leave you in peace (all-alone)!

Isn't that singular ...

Definitely, but I'm in a "different place" than Bette right now....I've slowed down to a crawl practically, from a life that was more active at one time....not by choice but by my body. So there's a bit of, "you go girl" for Bette, and a lot of "phew" where's my couch..if that makes sense?

That makes perfect sense.

Dusting of snow this morning in Muskoka. The winter tires went on before this little drive. Could be more snow tomorrow.

That makes perfect sense.

Allows some to take pause in the rush that is life ... I sometimes hear it tearing through my ears in a bloody fit ... ancestors said that the mores had no heart for tearing about ... thus laid back airs or humors ... one of them being bile-ash ... left-ova'!

so, not a great day for me. I'm feeling profoundly sad right now.
I am usually fairly resilient, so will bounce back I am sure, once I learn more and also build my network up

but for now, i'm going to curl up on the couch in the room, and watch what is going on around.

They used to have a boogie man in Fredericton called Jack the Hugger ... like Zacchaeus he might draw you into the trees ... where one observes from the shades ... do not get right into it as that is hostile politics! A hanger ...

So the story goes on loose knots ... they can be synched ... heads are thus raided to see beta' ...

A grandkid weekend…today and next weekend, celebrating a 4 year old today, and a 40 year old next weekend (my oldest son). All 6 grandsons will be together for two weekends in a row. I get tired listening to Bette’s busy life. But I also feel exhausted in the middle of the six whirling dervishes. But a good and happy exhaustion.

Good Sunday morning! Skiff of snow on the ground and all over the car, with a bit more to come over the next 2 days. Time to get the tires changed, I guess. We think of those who are going through rough stretches in the road, and surprise sleepovers with the grands. We ponder the helpfulness of hugs. We bring these and other thoughts with us to the Coffee Cart, to discuss, offe3r support, and connect. The coffee and tea are ready, and the bakery has supplied us with bagels of various kinds, with spreads an toppings. The tea water is boiling, and the coffee is freshbrewed; bagels are being toasted to your preference. All is ready, and everybody is welcome! Come join the fun!

That sounds kind of fun. Will you put syrup (the cheap stuff, not real maple syrup) on them first so they might stick to the cars? :ROFLMAO:

No. We sent three to the neighbours. We still have 5 we will attempt to freeze and use later.

I am curious if they can fly, however.

I just did my truck. My wife's car isn't important.

If you want to come over Sunday afternoon, I'll change them. Rumour has it, I have the tools.

And it's not like I enjoy the work, but I have major trust issues. And I can do it faster than driving and waiting. And, it was an excuse to buy more tools. Which brings us to one of life's great rules: He who dies with the most tools, wins.
A friend had a friend install her snow tires. Well meaning to save her $$ but he put them on backwards! Which she discovered in the spring when she took vehicle to a proper mechanic who pointed out the arrow marker on the tires. It was news to both of us that tires could be directional - but duh - of course. Luckily we didn't have much actual snow that winter!!

It won't make a huge difference. Most snow tires are directional to clear water and slush faster if you're not speeding through deep slush, it doesn't matter a lot, but yeah, I try to get it right.

Most all seasons are non-directional. That allows you to rotate them to opposite corners to help them wear more evenly. With directional tires they can only be rotated front to back and vice-versa.

Also, I've had tire shops install tires backwards. They installed 3 tires as right-side tires and only 1 as a left-side tire.

As I said, I have trust issues.

We're just heading home from a nice visit with my sister and her husband. She cooked a roast beef roast with roasted potatoes and Brussels sprouts. It was very nice. This was the first time we've seem them since she returned from Portugal and Spain doing the Camino. I had told her we'd quarantine them for the first while after she got home. She did get quite sick when she got home. All is better now.

I see the doctor at the local cancer clinic tomorrow. My drug dose has been reduced. I still have had very limited energy. It's been a bit of a challenge. I suspect it may get reduced a bit more. We'll see.

Good mo0rning! Happy Monday! We are experiencing a snow event in this area. Waffles, snow tires, family visits, craft fairs, medical appointments, and whatever shows up today, all come to the Coffee Cart. Thanks to JayneWonders for setting up this morning. We'll soon have coffee and tea available, to go with the croissants that the baker has whipped up for us this morning. Allis ready, all are welcome. Come in and join the conversations!
