What Legacy Does Trump Leave?

I'm tired of buying into the "woke" crap....or any words or phrases that define a people way too broadly to the point of being false information about things that need to be talked about
I think Luce might be refering to woke in its proper pre-Trump context. Today, I think the people - especially mainstream white people - calling themselves woke have co-opted it from struggles of the black civil rights movement and are still half asleep or are just neoliberals patting themselves on the back for being ‘not Trump’ but not actually doing anything about changing anything that brought about Trump.

That even covers the 80% rule as approximately 85-99% incorrect matter we have to digest to make heads out of wooden posts ... thus we carve & slice!
It’s not like he never says anything controversial or potentially offensive. In his most recent show he jokes that liberals have a buzzkill problem and they (him included) annoyed the country into fascism :sneaky:

Just more to process!

This could go on given the gathering activity ... by those dispossessed! They form encampments that bother ... "you know what?"

Thus we get through the portal, once believed imaginable negative ... ah ole thing ... Aye?

More great clouds, miasma and white elephants ... smoking it ...

Sums him up rather succinctly....

But he wasn't alone in all this, he has/ had a very loyal group of followers that contributed to Trump's rise. No historical study of Trump's rise should only place the blame on Trump, we also need to study what created Mega and caused half of Americans to support him.....what was/is happening within society that created this? Millions must have been frustrated and full of discontent to latch on to Trump as their savior......do we know why?

Mainly because he lied to them.

Also because he presented himself as a strongman and he’s got a populist showman “style” (?) that appeals to people who don’t understand politics, in times of turmoil. Also because patriarchy is alive and well. Also because he fomented hate against asylum seekers and minorities who he positioned as ruining everything for those inclined to xenophobia and bigotry - basically bringing out the worst in people which is hard to put back in the bottle. And because his garish appearance of success is lots of peoples’ idea of the American Dream, as seen on TV.

It seems he did know his audience and how to manipulate them.
He gathered many of them during his birther years when he was trying to bring down Obama over a birth certificate myth. It was an excuse to bring out the racism. And many - who must watch as much TV as he does - were impressed by his performance as the boss on the Apprentice - they took it as real. He did admit early on that he loved “low information voters”. It’s not like he wasn’t being obvious. He’s the most “authentically himself” president we’ve ever seen - but that hasn’t been a good thing for the US. They need “authentically someone else completely” lol

Getting people freaked out about their potential loss of freedom to say slurs and encouraging damage, over the loss of freedom to defend against bigotry.

And Putin probably had something to do with it. As did the deliberately but organically grown alt right propaganda troll farm originally designed by Steve Bannon to create division and spread disinformation. Trump’s reliance on artificial news commentators like Hannity to prop him up, helped him. Tucker Carlson helped him before he got fired. Jordan Peterson who is Canadian even even helped him by using his fame as a traditional cultural warrior against trans people to gain popularity, and then made appearances at Turning Point USA. Joe Rogan, the Intellectual Dark Web influencers on YouTube. I don’t think there’s one specific reason why, to be honest.

The shutdown is at 38 days - the longest in U.S. history, surpassing the 35-day shutdown in 2018-2019.

Which side will blink first?

Biden has come out to say Trump has wrecked much of democracy ... which is exactly what is expected of emperors as they believe the paradigm is demonic and expecting shares! Imagine the support if you can put this one ova' M ... the base of lyrics ... items of bother laid out ... Eeyore it! The carrier ... the chore of the day ... haul you butt out for reason you may not understand ... subtle?

At least ... ova' the horizon just now ...

Will we catch it or does it grab us? Awesome ...
