My Mom makes an excellent pork & beef tourtiere. It's so good I requested it this year as my Christmas gift from her.

On the other hand, Silk Coconut Milk is almost (not quite) a good replacement.

No eggnog for me but I have some for the boys.... BA I like dark and like, with or without nuts, with or without cherries. Jae-you could try to be gracious about other's preferences. Tolerance and respect go a long way in life.......

If I'm going to eat fruit cake - and the occasions are very few and far between - I'll eat a piece of my mom's which is a dark, very moist cake, with cherries and candied fruit...she doesn't usually put nuts in but has on occasion added walnuts.

Love eggnog - the eggier the better. As a connoisseur of eggnog I have this year been enjoying Harmony Organic Eggnog from Bornholm, Ontario.
