I think pr Jae is right. They have also bought into a vision, a very common one, that is based on a hopeless failure to understand what the words liberal and conservative mean. "Conservative" has nothing to do with with being old-fashioned. "Liberal" has nothing to do with being progressive or advanced. But our politicians and our news media seem to be ignorant of that.
I like his attitude. It is a ray of sunshine. And we can't say he hasn't been keeping busy since he started! Yes, there are a lot of cheery photos, selfies, of him out here and there - but I don't mind. I see him as more of a role model/ figure head at this point, and he's appointed his cabinet to do much of the work - so maybe we're in lots of better hands rather than centralizing all the decision making with one person. It's still hard to switch out that mindset we've been under and remember that there are lots of qualified people doing the work. If he makes the country feel a little better, so people can feel good about doing good, and stamps out the fear mentality and unites people, that's half the battle.Still Harry? Asstill we don't know ...
Perhaps it is how we work, in that we seem to after the fact of making a decision we come up with a reason that makes sense to us as to why we made that decision?Hate and fear are much of the horizontal problem ... flat out bottom lyon ...

We decide due to emotions?
And skilled politicians can use that
Hate & fear are just much more powerful, more primitive, emotions that use older circuitry of our neurology?

There are those of us who base our decisions primarily on personal values rather than on cold, steely logic or smushy emotions.Perhaps it is how we work, in that we seem to after the fact of making a decision we come up with a reason that makes sense to us as to why we made that decision?
