If you are not gentile it could be firepitz fore yah ... read into IT slowly as processing depth of word is a difficult thing to get started ... A' bi ... just for initiation by senseless activity of heh's crew up dere ... Semite, or icon of t'ings to come ...

If you start with the presupposition that God is good and fair-minded, then He should have no problems with homosexuality. If you allow the possibility that God is a sadistic, sex-obsessed micro-manager, then I can see where your beliefs can be considered correct.

It was God who put a man and a woman naked in a garden and told them to go have sex. But then man with a tool, like when he gets a hammer tries to nail everything.

If we returned to sex as God planned, there would be no STD s and a whole lot of other societal ills.

Gents, may I suggest that this discussion of sex and Bible interpretation could be moved to another thread, perhaps in R&F, so this thread can remain for discussing specifically transgender issues. @RitaTG and I discussed closing it in the past since it was really intended as a sort of "one off talk" by her and if it stays off topic, we will likely do so.

Like.

Although, I would point out that @RitaTG herself asked about both homosexuality and transgenderism.

Gotta agree with that onyx ... a devilish nailing of sects in translation ... but if the coupling doesn't work ... the initial plan was to test some monkeys ... leading to monkeying around with linguistix importuning themselves with unknowing sects that don't know even nothing is imperfect ... ether is as impossible to attain as absolute zero ... (see Michaelson-Moorley Experiment that missed the UV Crisis) as concerning light science or a Levite Affairs that remain in the dark due to forced wording of satyr ... or unknown science sometimes referred to as séance as King James declared that people should think as He as representing brute force of emotions without clues ... KJ being a basic illiterate ... is that a dark revelation about Royal Twists as the thought bolted out ... perhaps a myth 've incarnation for all I know!

Then incarnation is something appearing as it isn't ... pure

Mendalla,
If transgenderism isn't sexual is this a flaw of the psyche? Thus we think improperly about it! Again Eire of humanism ... W/O logic ... then if religiously we deny knowledge ... IT phitz ... when in sexual conflict ... few think!

Mendalla, Rita TG is, as I understand the purpose of this forum, the guest speaker, and she asked only one week ago, in Post # 554:

Ok ... then for Jae and everyone else watching this thread ..... so Jae doesn't feel alone....
Two direct questions please .... and I ask for your honest answer ...please.....
1. In your opinion is homosexuality a sin?
2. In your opinion is transgenderism a sin?

I would just like to have a very clear base understanding of everyone's position.
I will not reply in a negative way ..... I just would like to know.
Sincerely
Rita

She has also participated in the ensuing discussion. Respectfully, I do think that discussing the theological and biblical rationale behind the answers for the two questions she herself asked (which I've put in bold) is relevant to the thread.

Thus stray thoughts are dep osted ... a sign by the ost leer ... one looking after de hoer ess ... a genre sin if the mare is rhode too long and hard ... Katherine Myra ... my great aunt the touchy virgin on the pilgrimage through life ... never experienced a KISS!

Below the belt satyr?

I apologize for my combative style. I just like stirred arguments and I even go after my MIL like this. She's a Word of Faith person and I like to pull her chain. At the end of the night I can always hug her and tell her I love her. That's harder here - so consider yourself hugged. Sometimes I take a position in a dispute that is not fully my own but I think it makes for a better battle.
Good to know :)

I would like to weigh in a bit on the scope of this thread.
Homosexuality and transgenderism are so very often conflated as be the same sort of thing.
Also ... those that are transgender struggle terribly with the sexuality aspect of their being,
What is homosexual behaviour and what is straight behaviour? .... that is our dilemma....
Given the old primitive binary sex categories that do not in any way acknowledge the reality of transgender and intersexed persons the discussion gets very confused. The proper language does not exist.
So from a "church" point of view .... the question of our sexuality is quite perplexing....
Take me for instance ..... in my heart fully a woman..... and I challenge those that would judge my gender based on the genitals I happen to be born with....
Now as a person ..... having a cisgendered female spouse ...... does that make me a lesbian?
What about her?
If you judge me heterosexual then you have utterly denied my heart and soul..
These are very important questions to us that are transgender and we do not have a language to deal with it.
Is the homosexual aspect a relevant topic for this thread??? ... My answer would be YES with a few points of focus.
Could we please focus the discussion with the transgender reality being the core.
I am enjoying the discussion and I am learning so much about how others view this.
I find some of the posts chafing and challenging and that is fine .... that is where growth occurs.
Please keep up the discussion with respect and goodwill towards all .... that I feel is a reasonable request and goal :)
Sincerely ..... thank you....
Rita

@RetaTG, I was wondering about the person who interrupted the presidents speech

and asked him to let some trangendered free. What did she mean? Or did get the intent wrong?

At an LGBT pride month reception held at the White House on Wednesday, President Obama was interrupted by an audience member protesting the detention and deportation of gay, lesbian and transgender immigrants.

It wasn't necessarily the interruption itself, however, that caught headlines worldwide – it was the president's terse shutdown of the protester as well as her swift removal from the White House.

The woman has been identified as Jennicet Gutiérrez by GetEQUAL, the activist group for which she acted as a representative in her demonstration.

Gutiérrez – an undocumented immigrant – is a founding member of FAMILIA TQLM, which was "established to advocate for LGBTQ immigrants often excluded in the immigration debate," according to a statement obtained by #Not1More.

It sounds like she should have been removed. She was out of order. I imagine she expected going in that she would be taken back out.

Possibly so, but it's a legitimate extension of the decision about the human rights of all LGBTQ persons.

If LGBTQ people have the right to marry, then, do they also have the right to refugee status if they are from a country with a demonstrated record of LGBTQ persecution?

Shutting down conversations, as a principle, is less inclusive than I think we should be in public discourse.

These things happen slowly. One step at a time.
Should we be welcoming GLBTQ refugees from countries where they face torture and death? Of course.
Should we be welcoming refugees from countries where people are fleeing persecution from war? of course
refugees from starvation because of economic conditions or climate change?
refugees from Dominicn Republic and several other countries where dark skinned people are losing their citizenship and told to go back where they came from (meaning Haiti - the poorest, most economically deprived, and overcrowded country in the western hemosphere)?

Today, we celebrate with our neighbours the inclusion of GLBT people more fully into society. But we have a long way to go before all people are welcomed and affirmed.

Two steps forward, one back - another forward - we'll get there.

I'd say with (or even without) the right to marry they have the right to seek refugee status. That doesn't include free license to interrupt as Gutierrez did.
