The charge of the Light Brigade ... on communion and communication none-the-less! Such levity ...

Perhaps just a dream ...

Then who was it said to bury the body for rest vs ... the burning to release the soul on Eire ... Robert Fulghum on Maybe, Maybe Not ... as one of those people the oligarchs designated as shouldn't know? Oh, that was just a book on unresolved paradox!

Wonder Fu time Church today. Our senior pastor prêcher Psalm 14. We also Hasan infant Thanksgiving (not baptismale), communions, and Fellowship lunch. Fondé cheesies spécial délicieux.

A screwdriver would be more subtle and the laptop might actually survive. What happened? Is it just the drive being stuck shut? In which case a straightened paperclip in the release hole on the drive might do it.

Of course, if it is an old laptop and you're going to replace it anyway ... go get that axe:D! Just be careful.

Laptop isn't a year old. Drive isn't stuck...opens great, however the DVD has disappeared. Tried the screwdriver and paperclip already (tip from IT friend) and still can't find the DVD.

Further...I tried putting another DVD in the drive and it worked great...so where is the one that disappeared???

Strange. If you take the other DVD out and disconnect all the cables, do you hear anything rattling around inside when you pick up the laptop?

m-m-m-m Would it be dumb of me to suggest that is it probably not in your computer? Not anywhere in it? If you have doubts, then you should take it to a dealer. There really isn't much room for it to get lost in a laptop - and even then it would only be a danger if it were interfering with the drive - and it obviously isn't. (For now).

If there is something rattling around inside, it's not difficult to remove the cover. But, to be on the safe side, you should get someone who knows computers to do that.

Nary a rattle.

Graeme, I defintely put it in to play and when it didn't start, I opened the drive to take it out and put it in again - couldn't as it had vanished. It is very bizarre.

Watch out BethAnne. You might get a visit from the library cop.
