@chansen how did it go?

@ChemGal glad to hear that you are coping even though things are so very difficult. It just seems incredulous that there is nothing that can help you more, you know? (Not that I don't believe you, more that there just should be something).

@Seeler I'm glad you can make sense of what is going on. It sounds like something I might do (I get very enthusiastic) and not realize the implications of my actions but if someone takes me aside and quietly explains I get it and can change.

@Pingawow about the password. My yaho got hacked two years ago and it is still spamming people (I closed it but they have my address and my address book). I thought my password was stronger now but maybe it isn't.

common words, replacing e's and o's and l's was something that people recommended. Hackers have a list of commond passwords, take the english dictionary and do the replacements... The list of common passwords is then executed regularly against your account.

My credit card was tried to be used on line for some odd amount. The individual was guessing the expiriny date. Now I am waiting for a new credit card. Have I said how much I despise hackers/fraudsters?!

Oh well, I am now sitting waiting for my luggage to arrive. Had a ridiculous ride home last night from the airport. From poor dispatch skills resulting in it taking 2.5 hrs to get home (should have been about 1.15 max with proper skills), to the driver neglecting to put my luggage in the van (the luggage he took out to the van), and getting a call fro airport security saying they had to call the canine unit..to a ridiculous drive home..well, it tried my patience.

Today, though, is my brother-in-law's 65th so will be heading out to his house this afternoon some time. Lots of fun.

Beautiful weekend here in West Deane Park. Warm weather. Tomorrow or Monday my sons and I will cook up a nice barbecue for my mother and Yobo. Our way of honoring them, and my way of saying thanks to my Yobo for being such a good helper.

I'm picking up a friend this morning-popping by a paint store and then volunteering at the quilt show. (my friend is painting)
Funny story last night-I went to the quilt show-it was warm so I left my jean jacket on a chair at the front table-empty pockets. I came out and jacket wasn't there. I looked around and spotted it The gal selling raffle tickets was cold and had borrowed it. I claimed it back and went out!

Not sure. We didn't find out last time. We did for #1.

I was green in the delivery room, if that counts.
Aren't we all? I had my first when I was 29 years old, and somehow the nurses thought I should be an expert at the child birthing thing. Not. And never did become one, despite 3 deliveries...each unique.

@chansen how did it go?

Weird first day. Lots of, "How much do you want to be paid?" Followed by, "How much do you want to pay me?"

They're starting me slow, so it's a weird situation. And I'm apparently not expected at work on Monday. They'll call me when they're about ready to put a shovel in the ground.

Good for you Seeler to step back and think about this. I've had some issues when volunteering and sometimes I open my mouth too quickly. Which doesn't have a good result. Hopefully, I'll have learned how to deal with this too-quick to talk thing when I've grown up. Still waiting...

Chansen expected it to be presentable ... no farces or then there'd be boots for walking ... some employers don't know what they Luce here ...

Fees are said to be unspeakable at high levels ... more stuff the ordinary folk shouldn't know ...

Subtlety spreads so viciously ... those at top begin it ... and subtly they loose the workable part of sociability ... in discounted socialism ... extremely pink to that McCarty Guise on democracy ... so the rose of naïveté ... and things that rise from Nous tin ... reflective media and that ringing behind the ears ... as well-whetted?

Wait, how much you are going to be paid wasn't figured out before arriving?
Nope. Let's just say this is a small company, and a strange situation where I'm doing maybe 1/2 a full time job, though I'll probably be on site for more than 8 hours a day. I'll work alongside the guys....build some trust. As I get better managing these two jobs, I'll be taking on more jobs. We trust each other to be fair, but we're trying to figure out what "fair" means in this context.

I shouldn't bite. Is your Yobo not an even partner - not just a helper

My Yobo and I are marriage partners. That being said, we do each have a particular role to play within our marriage. I am her servant-leader, and she is my helper. I don't know why you say you shouldn't bite. I wasn't trying to bait anyone. Just commenting on my family's plan for the weekend, and there's nothing wrong with that.

in the spirit of the room, I am turning on the bbq on the deck, and have set out some snacks.

Seems like a gorgeous day, though thunderstorms are approaching. Wouldn't recommend a long walk,b ut, a short walk with ability to get back inside is recommended.

The room needs some fresh air after the staleness from the winter, so throwing open the windows, letting it come in.

I've got ribs on the ceramic egg-shaped smoker. A brief fire in the same smoker when I left the lid off too long to make an adjustment, but very brief. One hour in, and ribs coming along nicely. Small singe at one edge. Is nothing.

Daughter and wife at birthday party, neighbour friends at Jays game and other birthday party. While smoker does its thing, I'm drywalling. I apparently drew some kind of short straw.
