found oot a local Kaslovian is alive because of a police raid to stop an illegal abortion

they also said they have been to Abortion Survivor groups and they were one of the rare ones without some kind of handicap or missing body bits

this person has lived a very rich and full of experiences life

The weird thing is, I can see how one could spin that for both pro-choice (legal abortions offered by trained physicians in medical facilities with due counselling for the mother could avoid these situations) and pro-life (these people deserve better from our society) positions. In the end, though, I come down that abortion should not be criminalized, just regulated as a medical procedure with that regulation left largely in the hands of medical professionals who know what they are talking about, not politicians or, worse, religious leaders (not saying there shouldn't be input, but they should not be in charge).

Religious leaders can totally provide their input for those who follow their religion. They should have zero input for public policy.

If you hold public hearings on a bill, you're going to get it and you can't constitutionally stop them as citizens from showing up or making submissions. And that applies to pro-choice religious leaders (like many in the UCCan), too. But no input beyond what the rest of the public has, for sure.

When done in the right way and with the right person.
It. Is. GOAT.
If you bet on Carney as the GOAT you got Orwellian Gooched.

How much money is spent on time consuming, frightful, oppression and conflict that could be spent lifting people out of it and giving them back some time? That problem sets the conditions for thoughts to be wasted…ironically…along with creative and socially healing solutions therein. The punisher of wasted thoughts is actually causing the problem of wasted thoughts that could do some good. No vision for a better world at all. Mentally and emotionally paralyzing. Very limited view, without real human compassion in the present world, as presented. Deficient seer?

There are no flawless humans who are going to heal the world. Imperfection is part of being human. The only perfect thing is love that gives compassionate insight to support creative and healing thoughts to manifest. The world needs more love, not more thoughts wasted on destroying imperfect humanity.

Can we work this into a constitutional moment?

That'd be when all the dirt, earth and mire return to the initial point ... painful! Dust balm ... mud bath ...

If everyone in the world wrote down their problems and put them in a hat, would you risk grabbing one or simply keep your own?
Interesting question. Some people's problems might be more interesting than mine. But my problems are really pretty minor and routine in the greater scheme of things. Having a co-worker who left Ukraine with a young daughter in tow after the Russian invasion really puts some of my problems in perspective. She's doing well and is pretty settled here now, but that's got to be the worst possible way to emigrate to another country. Heck, even hearing my wife talk about the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution and what her family went through back then does it.
