God won't come back into anyone unless they first repent and do His will, not our own. He has been telling us to put Him before self since the Garden.
First ----the person has to accept the Father drawing ----you have to have a heart change from your hardened heart to a flesh heart acceptable to hear and receive the Gospel and get the Christ's Faith inbirthed in you so you can repent --and understand that you need a Saviour ----and then you can receive Jesus through His Faith that He inbirths in you by hearing the Gospel -----and you receive The indwelling of the Holy Spirit at the moment you receive Jesus through His Faith -----only then can you do God's will ---

John 6:44 AMP B

44 No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him [giving him the desire to come to Me]; and I will raise him up [from the dead] on the last day.

Who are the true Christians? Those who follow a religion or those who follow Jesus?
Doesn't the character of matthew say that the character of jesus said in the Matt 6:6 that you can prey to god in a closet. Well that certainly answers your question doesn't it. You don't need a religion, just a closet/room.

We'll never successfully do His will in this life. It is His will working through us that matters and that won't happen unless we give up control.
Well said

This reminds me of what they say in AA. Their dogma is all about replacing self will and ego with God's will. Confessing one's character defects and making amends for harm done is part of it too.

And of course admitting powerlessness over alcohol (remind anyone of sin?) comes first.

A bit of a divergence but still on topic.

I notice @Delightful Life is signing off with Platinum Age or Platinum# ?

So I did some investigating.

The Platinum Rule is “Treat others the way they ask to be treated.”

Unlike the Golden Rule, which assumes everyone wants the same thing as you do.

The Platinum Rule requires active listening and individual respect.

It acknowledges that every person is a unique "case" with unique needs.

Sounds like catalytic ... a tallied IHC? One has to research "IHC" ... albeit many wouldn't touch it ... it continues for some time!

"Reach out" ... some declare ... narrow the void! Is that all-encompassing or all immersed? Leads to the plunge into the troubled place ... many are blind to it in the race to be ahead ... hedonistic?

Some step back and make notes ... wondering about critical ends! There is the head and that opposed to the head ... wrong end or just a failure?

Mark that down ... it is Po Et Dick ... according to present form! Ide'll creep ...

Informative. Yes the original sin was self related and self is what is behind every sin (the labels we put on selfish actions). God said to focus on others rather than self. Everything is food for something else, but we are the only creatures that go beyond the essentials, making us a cancer in creation.

I would say that we just have an adaptation that lets us think about what is happening and respond and react in a more planned way. In the end,we are mammals of the primate line with some specialized adaptations that enable us to live in almost any environment. Most animals need to go through some kind of adaptation process to a change in the environment or a new environment. We use technology to basically shortcut that process. E.g. we are technically originally a tropical species (apes from Africa) but can live in cold environments like most of Canada by building homes and making clothes rather than having to adapt to cold by growing fur or an insulating fat layer like see on polar bears or seals. But we are still products of, and subject to, the same natural forces as any other living being and that ability to shortcut the adaptation process can only carry us so far.

And I disagree about us being a cancer on creation. We are really one of the marvels of evolution and our negative impact on the world could be mitigated heavily if we would just acknowledge that and start living with and within nature instead of pretending we are somehow above and independent of it all. Only our dominionist attitudes and behaviours make us a "cancer". It's not inherent and some humans have lived quite fine on the natural world. Do agree with something you posted earlier about how our selfishness is the "original sin" since that underlies a lot of that.

AI on Dualism for us as God's creation

AI Overview

Biblical truth
rejects the philosophical/cosmic dualism of two equal, eternal opposing forces (good vs. evil).

While Scripture acknowledges the conflict between God and Satan,
it affirms that God is omnipotent Creator and Satan is a defeated, created being.

The Bible promotes a holistic view of human beings (body/soul) rather than viewing the physical body as evil.

No Eternal Co-equals:
Dualism suggests God and an evil power are equal. The Bible teaches that God is the eternal Creator and Sovereign, and evil is a temporary, subordinate, and ultimately defeated force.

Satan is Created:

Satan is not God’s equal counterpart; he is a created angel who rebelled.

The Physical is Good:

Contrary to ancient dualism (which often sees matter as evil and spirit as good), the Bible affirms that God created the physical world and deemed it "very good".

Holistic Human Nature:

Biblical teaching presents a "duality" of man (body and soul) existing together, rather than a dualism where the body is viewed as a evil cage for the soul.

Ultimate Victory:

The Bible predicts a future where evil will be destroyed (Revelation 20:10), not a perpetual, unresolved conflict.

Spiritual vs. Physical Realm:

While the Bible acknowledges the reality of a spiritual (invisible) and natural (visible) realm,
it maintains that God is sovereign over both, not that they are independent, warring realms.

In summary, Scripture teaches monotheism (one sovereign God), not the eternal dualism of good and evil as equals
.

If evil is destroyed will good turn to vapor ... in essence?

The potential for clouding the balance line is edge sharp! Constan*tine five the line a kick and nothing ever recovered.

Lesson: "be cautious about kicking and thrashing ideas where they do not go easily!" Have a good story ready ... they pass quicker ...

Thus life is a gas to use a metaphor ... for what stinks to a large portion! When they bulk up ... be extra cautious ... throws fear into trum*pians ... "pian" being considered a disease! Thus stressed ... it yaws ...

Completes the movement of pitch, roll and yaw ... experienced when adrift ... very little is simple 2 dimensional stuff ... add in space time and someone will be ejected ...

Why? Not enough time as the race continues ... the dash of life!
