I was involved on other social media for awhile with others opposed - I met people online - but I didnt like how the platform we used was designed for conflict. Either conflict or preaching to the choir, rarely any discussion, mostly pronouncements. That’s all it’s designed for because of the word count. It drove me bananas. And maybe I wasn’t the right fit because I am still at least mainstream adjacent even though I’m not mainstream - and felt not radical enough or something. You’re not supposed to admit that lol, I feel like. I’m neither mainstream or totally educated from the same perspective as my peers involved and I don’t want to change my whole personality - I actually don’t want to make enemies because I disagree with someone, believe it or not (and some platforms are designed to do that too). I don’t have to respect some opinions or engage them, but I don’t “hate” the people.
I’m also not an academic with credentials that allow me to kind of sit above the scrapping. And I’m not uninformed either.
I’m a misfit among misfits lol. That’s how I feel. I just am who I am. Don’t know where to go forward with this. But it’s too important to give up on.
